You guys! I am thankful for the warmth that comes up through this vent thingy. I’m so warm and toasty.

Ernie lying on the heat vent

The mom says I’m blocking the heat when I sit on top of it like this. I told her there’s plenty more of these vent thingies all over so me sitting here shouldn’t be a problem. Besides…if you look, I’m only on half it. She needs to let sleeping cats lie…especially warm sleeping cats.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. We’re thankful for heat vents too–and for the kindness and support of bloggers.

  2. Ernie, while reading books with stories that take place long ago, I marvel that folks could exist with only a fireplace to warm the house, plus it cooked food too.
Glad I’m alive now, with heat vents!

  3. You look like you have a face plant in that heat vent. You must be extra toasty!

  4. YAY! I’m grateful for being able to visit and comment on your blog, Ernie!

  5. You and I are just alike!

  6. I loves my toasty vents too. I have at least three, that mum knows of, that I use a lot. Stay warm.

  7. You look nice and warm lying there Ernie. X

  8. Ernie, that is the purrfect spot. Tell your mom to leave you alone. It is super cold here, and our mom is all bundled up. When she was in high school, she would sit atop the heat vent like that with her knees drawn up to her chin and her long nightgown pulled down over the vent with all of her inside! One cannot do that with radiators! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

  9. Oh, YES! We love our heat vents, too! Nothing like a warm belly!

  10. You’re right Ernie – I bet there are lots of those vents around the house and if you want one you should have one (or even a half of one!!). Keep warm……it’s what cats do!

    Hugs, Teddy

  11. Looks like that’s the place to be on a chilly day, Ernie!

  12. Angel cat Angie used to lay on the vent in the kitchen and near the front door. She blocked all the heat from it. I don’t know how she could stand all that heat? Today it got up to 70 degrees so we actually had to open the windows!

  13. It sure is good to be warm Ernie and you picked a darn good spot!

  14. We are thanjkful for warm sleepy kitties too Ernie !

  15. That is a great thankful.

  16. Looks like a great place for a nap Ernie.

  17. You gave her the purrfect response, Ernie!

  18. We have to make do with overhead A/C and radiators – and snuggling under the duvet with each other and/or with Mummy. But we’re thankful for having all that – and so is She (mol)..

  19. Isn’t it nice that the vent is on the floor and not the ceiling?

  20. WE sit on the windowsill above our vent. It often has cat food cans on it for warming up

  21. ERNIE!!! ERNIE!!! ERNIE!!!! Mee an BellaSita Mum are THANXFULL for our new lappytop named BellaNova! An yore mee ferst bloggie to vissit since our other lappytop fried itself crispy!!

  22. We too are grateful for the heat vents. We have a favorite spot. LIly likes the one in the bedroom because the long curtains fall in front of it and when she sits there, she has a warm tent. Oliver purfurs the long one under the sink in the kitchen. I’m not as much of a heat hog (as The Human calls us).
    Purrs & Head Bonks,
    Alberto

  23. You’re lucky to have that vent on the floor. Ours are all above our doorways, so the cats would have a hard time getting to them!

  24. MOL. The hot air blowy thing is the best, right Ernie? You are right … there are lots more throughout the house. Your mom should go and find one of her own. 🙂

  25. Exactly, there’s enough for effurryone, right Ernie 😀 Warm Pawkisses♥♥♥
