Everyone wants to know…
What’s That Wally Doing?
Today we’re thinking about Scooter, the Original Island Cat. He went away 4 years ago today. Mom says he went to the Bridge where he’s waiting for us.
When I first came to live on the island, Scooter was already living here. He was a lot older and wiser than me and he didn’t like me much (or so he said). But I liked him and I think deep down he kinda liked me too. I learned a lot of stuff from Scooter — like how to be a good Island Cat.
I miss him sometimes…and I know mom does too…

When my mom found me, she already had a girl kitty. She didn’t like me much either, but I loved her lots and so did mom. She died the day after Christmas this year. Don’t worry, I bet Scooter is playing in kitty heaven, rolling around and eating all the grass he can find!
