Hi you guys! It’s me…Murphy!!
The weather has been nice lately. It’s not as hot as it has been, so me and the kid have been able to spend time in the sunroom watching all the critters outside. The view is much better in the sunroom than the other windows in the house.
We especially love watching the squirrels. They act crazy this time of year.
If you look real close at where that arrow is pointing, you can see the squirrel we were watching. He ran clear across the deck. Lucky for him there’s a screen in this window.
We took a break from Squirrel TV and took our selfies.
First Cheeto.
Then me.
Then it was back to Squirrel TV. They really put on a great show.

Oh my goodness, both of your selfies are totally calendar-worthy. Oddly, I don’t much care for critter watching, but give me a good gaggle of humans, and I’m enthralled for hours on end. Now and then, mom and dad let me out on the deck to explore. We’re up on the second floor, and our deck is only about 20 feet from the sidewalk. I get a great close-up view of what’s often very busy, active pedestrian traffic.

We have three big oak trees in our yard, and more along with walnuts in the back third of our yard…talk about squirrels going nuts about nuts!

we lost most of our squirrels when the big ash tree had to be take down. plenty of rabbits and crows left for my housemates to keep an eye on though.
