You guys! I was enjoying some morning sun and almost forgot to take my selfie. Thank cod I remembered and took this one.

Close up of Ernie

Speaking of sun…you guys ready for the total solar eclipse tomorrow? Where we live, we’re just outside the path of totality at about 99% so it should look kind cool. BUT, the weather predictors say it’s supposed to be cloudy here so we might not see much of anything. The mom is kinda disappointed. Me? I don’t really care. I’ll probably snooze through the whole thing.

Will you be watching the eclipse? If so…make sure you wear those special eclipse watching glasses!

  1. Oh sweet Ernie- we love those eyes of yours! Excellent Selfie. Dad says we’re in about the 80-85% area, but it’s supposed to be cloudy here, too. Eclipses are cool, but that earthquake we had here was also a very brief bit of excitement.

  2. We wont see the eclipse where we live, but I can get Mrs H to pretend by putting a piece of card up against the study lamp. MOL
Have a great week, Ernie, and may the eclipse be auspicious for you and the week ahead.
    ERin

  3. Looking handsome as ever not sure if we’ll see the eclipse here in Scotland.

  4. Mr. Sun can sure be a big distraction when you have important things to do. We are very glad you remembered and got your selfie in. It is a great one as usual!

  5. Wonderful selfie of you, Handsome! We et 92% of it here but it is supposed to be cloudy all day. 🙁

  6. Nice sunny selfie, Ernie! We are in about the 91% band. It’s supposed to be “partly sunny” so we are hoping we’ll get to see the eclipse. Hugs!

  7. Crossing paws that we have clear skies. About 90% covered here.

  8. Nice Selfie!!! We’ll be at about 50%.

  9. Looking epic Ernie, and no we don’t think the eclipse will be visible from the UK, or if it is, only partially.

  10. Oh, Ernie, for us YOU ECLIPSE THE SUN! Take that snooze and fugeddaboutit. Some blogger who is in the path will tell us all.

  11. We didn’t know about the eclipse.

    Your selfie is lovely, Ernie!

  12. Oh that is a cute selfie, Ernie! We will be cloudy here too. However, I do have pictures on my blog of the strange light in the forest during the 2017 partial. NOT of the eclipse itself, you can’t point a camera at it or view it at all without special safety glasses and precautions. The light in the woods was very weird.

  17. We are ready for the eclipse. Lady thinks we are only in like 97% but it could be more. It is enough for people to be panicking. Lady is going to check it out if it is clear.

  18. We won’t see the eclipse here, but we did see it in 1999 and it was a strange experience.

  19. Adorable selfie. We are going to get 94% totality. I got glasses for my great nieces and forgot to get some for us. XO

  20. Cute selfie Ernie. Where I live, we only see 26% of the eclipse, so I’ll be watching on tv.

  21. I hope you get to see some of the eclipse! Good luck.

  22. We’re in the path of totality and it’s supposed to be a mostly sunny day! Super excited. Mudpie will probably be napping through it too though.

  23. Ernie, we always love seeing you and your sparkly eyes. 85 % eclipse path, but we too are We are in the 80 to 85% path for the eclipse, but it is supposed to be cloudy here, so we really don’t expect to see anything. Thanks for always hopping with us. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

  24. I’m glad you remembered your selfie and hope you get a bit of clearing at least during the eclipse time.

  25. We *might* see some of it if the clouds blow away soon enough.

Us pups might think its time for bed, BOL!

  26. Ernie, we are driving south to get to 100% totality.
    Because…why not?

  27. it’s a grey rainy day here in Mini.

  28. Hello handsome Ernie,
I watched the eclipse on tv as it traveled
About 3 pm NC had 78% totality. We had 100% blue skies and full sun…then the house became quite dark we needed lights on.
    Hugs Cecilia

  29. It seems totally unfair to us cats that we have to go without our full sun puddles for a few hours … and the humans are EXCITED about this.

  30. Enjoy the sun while you can Ernie, cuz it’s going to disappear for 4 minutes – MOL! Hope you enjoyed your eclipse.

  31. 20% coverage on a cloudy day. Nothing to see though I did see a total in 1979.

  32. Good selfie Ernie! We didn’t even notice the eclipse ourselfs. Hardly even got dim outside. And TBT says we were at 89&.

  33. Hey Ernie and Mom, I just stopped back by to say thanks for the kind words and support during my recent health challenges, I appreciate it so very much!

  34. Oh Ernie, we’re curious if you saw it…our eclipse doesn’t go any further than a total eclipse of the heart 😉 Double Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend to you and your mommy too 🙂 ♥♥
