Hey! You guys wanna see some recent visitors in my yard? You do?? Okay…let me show you.
These mourning doves were taking a break from all their cooing and wooing by sitting on the deck rail. They’re probably pooping on it, too.
Check out this egret who’s been hanging around this summer. He looks a lot like Alfred, the blue heron, doesn’t he? I call him White Alfred. I know…not very original.
Now you all know I love my snake toy…but I don’t think I want to play with this guy! The mom saw him on our driveway. But then he quickly slithered away into the bushes. Good riddance, I say!
I’ve been seeing lots of bunnies this summer. This is one of them.
I love watching all the critters that visit my yard!

You have a grand view out of your window, Ernie…and a wonderful variety of creatures to watch.
WE both have busy yards, Ernie.
Well Ernie you do have some interesting wildlife to keep an eye on but that snake – EWWWWWW – no thanks! Snakes give me and my Mom the “willies” but we FORTUNATELY haven’t seen one in our yard in a few years. That snake of “yours” is SCARY.
Hugs, Teddy

Ernie, we are great critter watchers as well. We have heard that there are snakes around here but neither Mom nor Dad nor any of us have seen any. Thank goodness. Our mom would freak. We have way too many mourning doves here, and they do poop a lot. Enjoy your Wild Kingdom personal TV. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
We get bird poops on our deck. We allus sniff it ta know which kind of bird. Small birds are OK. But we don’t want ta sniff a hawk poop. We worry about those big ones.
We haven’t seen any snakies in a while. Maybe we catch enough mousies that it isnt worth it to them to stay around.
We dont mind the adult bunnies eating the clover in the lawn. There is plenty of clover. What we like are the young bunnies. We CAN catch them sometimes but it is hard. MOL!
Ernie that view is gorgeous…OMCs slithering snakes no thanks.
We have had a lot of bunnies this year too….all sizes and even had some rare white jack rabbits in the spring. I suspect they were easy pickings for birds of prey
Hugs cecilia
Wow, Ernie! Your place is like the Visitors’ Center!
