You guys! Well here it is…the end of May already. And this weekend is Memorial Day Weekend…the unofficial start of summer!
Gratuitous good looking photo of me #NotABlooper
And you know what else it is, don’tcha? It’s time for Pet Photo Fails…the blog hop hosted by our friends, Melissa and Mudpie over at Melissa’s Mochas, Mysteries & Meows. You guys know how this works. All you gotta do is post a photo fail of your pet. You know…one of those pictures that just didn’t turn out right and would normally end up in the recycle bin.
Today I’ve got a couple of swan bloopers for you. Just like cats, swans don’t always cooperate for the camera and move just as the photo is being taken. So says my photographer, aka the mom. Purrsonally, I think it’s her bad photographing skills and not the fault of the subject.
I don’t think these bloopers were the swans’ fault…do you?
I have some kinda sad news about the swans. It looks like there won’t be any baby swans this year. About a week or so ago, they abandoned their nest. Mama swan laid on that nest for days, weeks…and then all of a sudden, she stopped. We don’t know what happened. Maybe a predator got to the nest. They’re still hanging around though. So at least we get to see the two of them.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Looking handsome as always Ernie – we’re sorry that Mr. and Mrs. Swan apparently won’t be herding babies around the water for you to watch……hopefully they themselves will stay around for you to keep an eye on though!
Hugs, Teddy
Ernie, I agree. Something happened there. Maybe the eggs weren’t fertilized after all. Mom Swan was counting the days and the babies didn’t appear?
Bloopers, not too much ~ they were just in the midst of a rehearsal for Swan Lake, practicing poses (actually we thought these were really interesting and cool photo captures!).
And Ernie, looking good as always. Happy Holiday Weekend …
Your portrait is certainly not a fail, Ernie! You look very handsome!
That is sad about the swans. We hope they will have lots of babies next year.
Purrs,
The Chans
That’s too bad about the nest. That photo of you is definitely #NotABlooper!
Ernie, you are looking good.
It’s too bad about the swans.
It is sad about the swans. Your photo is very handsome.
Love the selfie of you Ernie! The swan pictures are enjoyable, too! That is sad about the nest this year, though.
That second swan photo looks more like a photobomb than something you could blame on your Mom.
We are sorry about the swan babies…
That’s so sad! We thank them for the bloopers though.
That’s a wonderful photo of you Ernie and cool swan fails. We sure feel bad for the swan couple, that’s really sad.
That is a nice shot of you. Cute swan bloopers too. XO
That’s too bad about the babies. Predators can be a problem, unfortunately. We had a bird’s nest in a bush outside our front door one year and one day the birds and eggs were both gone.
Your handsome face will never be a blooper Ernie, and as for swans, they just go Swansway ha ha
ernie, your eyes are so exquisite
Wishing you a wonderful Memorial Day!
I must say, Ernie, that photo on top is fantastic. You look great with all those vibrant colours to bring out your silky, black fur tones.
As far as the swans go, I think you’re right that it wasn’t their fault. They were just busy taking care iof their ablutions, even though their feathers are white.
I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of the newest generation. It could be any number of reasons, including climate change.
Ernie, your photo is super handsome (of course), but those are some definite bloopers of the swans. Humans are notoriously bad at trying to photograph swans, so yeah, probably photographer error.
That is so sad about the swans and their nest.
Love you, NotBlooper Ernie! Oh dear, that’s so sad about the swans. And we agree that the fails aren’t their fault, though my dad’s the last one who can comment on ANYONE’S photography skills.
Sorry that there won’t be cygnets to watch growing up into lovely swans, this year. Maybe next year, hopefully.
You, however look purrfect!
That’s awesome.
