You guys! Well, here it is…the last Friday of October…and you know what that means. It’s Pet Photo Fails time again…hosted by our friends, Melissa and Mudpie over at Melissa’s Mochas, Mysteries & Meows.

You know how this works. All you gotta do is post a photo fail of your pet…one of those pictures that just didn’t turn out right and would normally end up in the recycle bin.

With Halloween this coming Monday, I thought I’d share some flashback Halloween bloopers with all of you. Y’know…the mom used to try to dress me up in Halloween costumes and stuff. Notice I said “used to.”  She doesn’t try anymore. Probably because I didn’t like wearing stuff…still don’t…and when she would dress me up…I made it as difficult as possible for her to get any good photos. As these bloopers show.

This first one is from way back in 2010. She tried to get me to wear this pumpkin thing.

Don’t I look like I’m ready to run away?

This next one is from 2015. She tried to get me to wear this pumpkin hat.

Ernie wearing a pumpkin hat, looking not very happy

If looks could kill.

This last one is from 2017. While I kinda posed okay in this Halloween collar, the photo came out too blurry.

Not to mention I don’t look particularly happy either.

Since then, no more costumes for me…unless they are photoshopped. Not much I can do about that, right?

How ‘bout you? Do you like wearing costumes and stuff?

  2. Oh, Ernie, I feel your misery, mine Mommy cannot put one thing, anything on me! But have to say I do like your “grumpy” look, am going to learn how to put that look on my face.

  3. Ernie, you look handsome no mtter what she has you wear!

  4. Ernie
When you have such gorgeous furs no need to hide them in a disguise. 2010 was funny dear friend thank you for putting up with it
    Hugs Cecilia

  5. Why do our Moms insist on dressing us up? We know we look so much better in our furs!

  6. Oh Ernie, you look so unhappy!
We recall when we first put a leash and harness on Celestial Angel, she fell over like one of those fainting goats, with her legs stuck out straight!
Some kitties just don’t like to wear clothes, and that’s all there is to it!

  7. Even if you don’t like costumes, you do look very cute in them.

  8. hey Frodo says if you won’t wear that pumpkin think send it here cause he wants to wear it! He looks good in orange! ;0

  9. The foto fails with you in costume are classics I think. You and pumpkins don’t seem to be a good match. We just dress up for photo shoots and that’s the end of it–just showbiz!

  10. Cute photos of you Ernie, even though you made it plain that you aren’t into modeling them.

  11. Mee-yow Ernie mee nevurr saw these fotoss beefore….you due NOT look happy mee frend!!

  12. Cute fails! Mudpie is the first cat I haven’t even tried dressing up MOL

  13. Those are all great Halloween fails. XO

  14. That was a trio of fun fails Ernie!

  15. You look so cute Ernie, even if you don’t like costumes. I haven’t tried dressing up Scout, but I don’t think she’d be happy either.

  16. Ernie! We feel your pain! As a mater of fact, our Mom has felt our pain in trying to clothe us in costumes too! Amazing what teeth and claws will do to derter them form inflicting costumes on us! Purrs Marv

  17. UIs pups don’t mind too much as long as they come off when the picture session is done. Some of the kitties here were adverse to ‘clothes’ and some tolerated them fairly well.

  18. Mama tried to put a scarf on me once and THAT WAS IT! NO, I HATE BEING DRESSED UP and mama keeps her ideas to herself. Plus, when one is dressed in Blackglama fur as you and I are, Ernie, who needs enhancement?

  19. We can see why she gave up! MOL
One year I tried to put a jingle bell collar on one of our cats, Katie. She completely freaked out and it was all I could do to catch her so I could take it off! That was a fail!!

  20. Costumes are definitely not your favorite thing. We’re not terribly fond of them either. They feel weird. We have one costume we’ll wear because it feels a lot like when we wear our harness to go outside.

  21. So, we would surmise you are not a fan of the costume thing, Ernie. Generally, our cats have not been fans of dressing up — the exception being our angel Graphite, who would wear stuff like a boss!

  22. Well Ernie you know how our humans are…….they want to dress us up like dolls and we try to be patient and cooperative but honestly – how do we maintain our dignity dressed up in costumes??? Fortunately for ME, my Mom hasn’t tried that with me…..being HUGE helps because none of those cutesy kitty costumes fit me! I just hope she doesn’t get a dog sized costume for me – I’ll be a little UPSET!

    Hugs, Teddy

  23. You eventually got the message across that you didn’t want to be dressed up!
