leaning on the wall…
Who’s the
most handsome
cat of all?
Note from the mom: I left this mirror leaning against the wall with the intention of hanging it. One day, I caught Ernie looking at it. He sat there for several minutes staring intently. I’m not sure if he knew that was him he was seeing or if he thought it was another cat. What do you think?

Whenever one of the Kitties Blue looks in the mirror, I wonder the same thing. I have always thought if I held them up and they recognized it was me in the mirror, they would realize they were the cat. But I am not even sure that is the case. Wish they could talk. We kitties are weird with mirrors….some of us LOVE to play with the other kitty and some of us could care less, as in ME. Who knows, watch and wait, maybe you have a new playmate, Ernie. Or maybe you want to tear its throat out for being in your space, haha.

I too wish we could sense what they are thinking. I once found a large picture in a book of a meezer like Minko, and he got right up and had to smell it to make sure it was not going to cause trouble or something. He didn’t hiss, just VERY curious.
I think he took his time analyzing that black cat he saw…..”is it me?? or is it friend? or maybe foe?” But in the end he winked and realized it was HIM! Mirrors are just a little confusing for us. My Mom says she’s confused when SHE looks in a mirror because she didn’t remember getting so old !!!
