You guys! I’m lying here in the sun…thinking about our Angel Island Cats.
That’s because today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. Started by our friend, Deb from The Chronicles of Zee and Zoey in memory of her special cat, Mr. Jazz, it’s a day we remember and pay tribute to those that came before and are no longer with us.
Of course, these special ones are in our thoughts every day…but Remembrance Day is the day we tell the world about how much they meant to us.
In addition to sharing my handsome selfie, I thought that I’d share our Angel Island Cats’ “selfies” with all of you today.
There’s Bogart and Scooter on top. I didn’t get to meet either of them. They were gone before I lived here and became an Island Cat. But the mom says they were both pretty cool cats and I woulda liked them.
Then there’s my buddy, Wally. What can I say other than I really miss him. We sure had a lot of fun together.
And then there’s Zoey. Y’know, I might not have gotten along well with that girl, but I miss her all the same.
Our Angel Island Cats may be gone…but they will never be forgotten…and they will always be loved.

Ernie we miss all your Island Angels too……They were all special but Wally was one of a kind wasn’t he. We’re remembering Angel Sammy today and as you say – they are forever with us but one day we will all REALLY be together again! Have a sunny and snoozy Sunday my friend.

We know that your humans miss those who’ve flown to The Rainbow Bridge, but they have you to dote upon.

Yes, we remember them indeed. I don’t like to pick favourites, but I had a particular fondness for Wally, though I never commented much. I think he resembled a much loved cat in our rescue-group.
It’s fitting, I think to thank you on this day for your kind words upon Minuet’s passing. Every word and thought is appreciated.
