You guys! It’s Thankful Thursday…and what am I thankful for today?
Having this big ol’ sunpuddle that I can stretch out in. Ah…feels so good on my ol’ bones.
Y’know what else I’m thankful for? That those mourning doves that built a nest in our garage are finally gone! Yep…they flew the coop. And honestly, it wasn’t easy getting rid of them. One baby dove flew off soon after it left the nest. But the other baby? Well, it would not leave. I thought it was gonna live in the garage permanently! But then after a few days, the dad was able to gently shoo it out of the garage. It hung around outside for a couple of hours but then finally flew away, maybe off to find its sibling. I hope both of those baby doves are happy now…doing whatever fun things birds do.
What are you thankful for today?

That is a lovely big sun puddle. I am glad those doves have flown the nest at last and you have got your garage back.
Yay for the doves leaving the nest. Time for them to explore the world;)
That is a pawsome sunpuddle Ernie and I am a tad jealous.
It is raining here :/
We can use the rain, but you know…no sunpuddles.

We can almost feel the sun on your shiny black furs. We’re glad the birdie went to find his family.
Let’s extend Black Cat Appreciation Day to today, Ernie…for you and your gloriousness!
Every day is Black Cat Appreciation Day as far as I’m concerned! =^..^=
Those are really good thankfuls Ernie, glad those birdies finally departed. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Nothing better than a great sunpuddle.
I’m so happy your doves are gone. I’m sure that nest is coming down and the garage door remains closed more than open.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
Bye bye doves! You sure look comfy there Ernie, enjoy your sunpuddle nappy.
Glad you got a sunbeam and that the doves flew the coop. 🙂 XO
Now you can peacefully rest without worrying about the doves.
That’s wonderful news! And the sun puddle looks delish!
We had another dove family in a tree right outside the window, second time this year. The funny thing? Once the two babies flew and everybody left, they came back the next day. They hung out for hours! We guess they were waiting for their mom and dinner. (They finally figured it out, kinda like your little guy.)
You’re very sunpuddly today!
What a great sunpuddle, Ernie!
I bet your peeps are glad they don’t’ have to worry about those doves anymore.
Ernie that’s a perfect sun puddle – nice to enjoy the sun but still be in the house where it’s cool. Glad the doves are gone – at least for now!!
Hugs, Teddy

I’m glad those doves are out of your hair now, or fur, I mean.
Yeah! Glad to hear that you can reclaim the garage finally!
Ernie I’m thankful for the giggle you gave me…’doing whatever it is baby birds do’!
Hugs cecilia
There are few things better than sunpuddles! Well, OK, food…
MOL…I think that’s good news, Ernie, but I also think that they’ll come back…they always do 😀 At least you have kind of rest for a while 🙂 Pawkisses from Heaven to you all 🙂 ♥
