The lady with the yellow hair told me something interesting today. She was reading about cats on the innernets and she said that with my furs colors, I’m not just a tabby cat…I’m a torbie! A torbie’s a tortoiseshell with stripes! Wow! Does that make me special?!?
And you know what else? I’ve got something called torbie-tude! I got an opinion on everything and I’m not afraid to tell you! So that’s what they call it?? Oh yeah, that’s me for sure! Just ask Wally!!
I’m a torbie! I’m a torbie! I like saying that!!!

Tasha says welcome to the wonderful world of Torties and Torbies – they are all very special. And Torbies definitely have “tortitude” (or “torbitude”) – Dobby can tell Wally all about dealing with that :)!
P.S. The lovely Ms. Tristan is a torbie too.
You’re a beautiful Torbie, Zoey! Indeed it does make you very special but we all already knew how special you are 🙂
We think you are a beautiful Torbie Zoey! Now Wally will have a name for what he’s dealing with!! Torbie-tude! We love how that sounds!
Hi Island Cats,
I just wanted to drop by and thank you specially for your kind words and thoughts. It meant a lot. I hope you’re all having a healthy, happy start to your summer!

Being a torbie sounds cool. We gotta check our Yoko – she is a funny color tabby…maybe she is a torbie too. Whoo hoo for torbies!

Zoey, you look very much like Feather! Except Feather is a Bob Tail Torbie! Don’t ever, ever touch Feather’s Torbie Tummy. Her Torbie-tude comes out read strong then, along with her clawrs and teeths!
I’m a Dilute Torbie! Aren’t we soooo cool? ~Tristan
Of COURSE you are special, Zoey! Torbies are furry beautiful. You know Victor Tabbycat’s sister Nina is a torbie too – she has a furry similiar coat to yours.
The color of your hair really is very pretty.

How kool to know that you’re a torbie. And torbie-tude is a furry good thing to have, too! You’re an adorabble kitty!
Kittyhugs and purrs from MaoMao!
I think it’s great that you are a torbie with torbitude. Just what is it that distinguishes a torbie from a tabby? If it’s orange mixed in with the brown, black and white, then most of the cats who lived with me were torbies, too, and, boy, did most of them have ‘tude! Thanks for your kind words. My limericker is fixed again and my limerick for Oscar is posted.
I’d never heard of a Torbie before. You’re so exotic, Zoey!
Torbi-tude! I like that. But I don’t think I can have it if I am not a torbie.
