Zoey laying in middle of turbo track

Hey, lady. Of course I know I have several beds and my cube and hidey hole and hammick where I could take a snooze. But I’d much rather lay here. And I don’t feel the need to explain myself. So go away.

*****

Cats! Sometimes I just don’t understand them. The other day I found Zoey laying here in the middle of the turbo track toy. She has so many more comfy spots where she could take a nap…I don’t know why she chose the middle of the turbo track.

Does your cat like to lie in weird spots, too?

  1. I have an old photo of our cat Princess sleeping on our dresser and using the alarm clock for a pillow. I just couldn’t imagine anything in the house more uncomfortable.

  2. Cats do whatever they want and they will never explain themselves. It’s the way of cats.

Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥

  3. Cats can do strange things, but the way I look at it, whatever makes them happy. As long as they get their food, they are happy.
    Have a great day.

  4. i think there’s an simple explanation. the green track brings out the green in your eyes.

  5. About once a month, Punkin loves to see a different perspective. She recently moved to the counter beside the laundry room sink. Just as I think she has claimed every spot in the house as her own, she finds a new one! Best I can do is move her bed when she stakes a new location.

  6. Mom has a similar photo of Astrid. Looks like there might have been some sun on the track. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  7. LOL! Zoey is going to dance to her own tune, no matter what!
I’ll never understand why Da Boyz sleep in a box, with their chin on the edge of said box…looks painful, but they do it.

  8. Yes, Katie sleeps in her turbo track occasionally for a nap and rests her head on the plastic hard edge.

  9. Zoey you found another cozy spot. A purrfect fit. And always a cutie 🙂

  10. OMC this is too funny, Zoey! Such a weird spot but you sure look very cozy 🙂 “Cats!” is the only logical explanation for this lol!

  11. Zoey that is a prize winning expression and pose. You are Princess of the Island Cats no explanation needed. Angel Madi had a place she went to escape the world (Mom-a-razzi). Not all that unusual but I always wished I had seen her get there.
The guest bed has 2sleeping pillows, with 2 sham pillows in front of them followed by to decorative pillows. Often I’d find her behind all of them and NOT ONE SINGLE PILLOW was out of place.

  12. MOL! Maybe she didn’t want to miss any of the action.

  13. Many toys are multi-purpose! They ought to start marketing them that way. Toy and bed in one! LOL

  14. Turbo Track! Need I say anything else? MOL

  15. Zoey does look comfy there. I don’t know why they choose hard uncomfortable places, but I’ve found Teddy lying on the table beside the sofa a few times. I’m scared he’s going to knock over the lamp.

  16. That does look comfy sweet Zoey, I used to do that too until Simon took apart our turbo track nightly and the Dad put it away!

  17. Zoey, you are the boss and wherever you want to snooze at is just fine. It does look like a comfy looking spot. Our little ones at home just like to sleep in their little beds on top of the queen size bed. For extra comfort. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day.

  18. The track fits and it looks like the sun is shining on her head. What could be better!

  19. OMC her expression says it all! “Leave me alone Mama I LIKE it here!” I think maybe she likes it because she fits purrfectly in it, it’s sort of like it’s nesting her. Plus she’s ready for any action in the event it starts MOL! Cody doesn’t lay in as many strange places as Dakota does. Being older, Dakota is slipping A LOT on our Pergo floors…I put throw rugs down everywhere…….(and he has a nice comfy bed that he never uses)…does he lay on the throw rugs? Nope, he lays either next to them or STILL lays on the hard floor by the door. Go figure!

  20. I think this looks like a perfectly reasonable napping spot.

  21. Keep yore lady guessin Zoey!!! Mee likess to go under THE chair an just hang out…LadyMew thinkss mee odd. An mee LOVESS to bee inn linen closet on top shelf too!!!

  22. Well, one weird one is where I always sleep….er….between the knees, sort of….

  23. Playtime spot. Close to where you want to play.

  24. Cats will always do as they wish! I found Mudpie cuddled up to the dust mop once MOL

  25. If she fits, she sits and she does fit.

  26. Whatever makes you happy 🙂

  27. Easier to keep an eye on the ball is my vote!

  28. MOL we love this!

  29. Moms! Are we right, Zoey?

  30. Cat is really strange. I’ve heard that cat like warm sunlight, so I take my cat to a sunny spot, but he finds another space in the shade to lay down. He sometimes doesn’t sleep on his bed, just use his bed as pillow and lay down on the floor… He uses anything as pillow: my pillow, the mattress, my leg, a box, my laptop, my book… anything is a little higher from the floor.

  31. Well it’s a soft spot, has nice sides to lean on, and – well – cats pretty much LAND anywhere they want to for a snooze and it’s our human’s job to just accept that we know what works for us!

    Hugs, Teddy

  32. NEVER COMPLAIN. NEVER EXPLAIN. Henry Ford, whoever he is/was….

  33. It’s always a big surprize where we hang out, right Zoey..MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend:) <3

  34. depending on the time of day Lucy will sleep in different places. Cats are very picky about their sleeping spots! Cheers!

  35. I like to squeeze myself under pawwpy’s desk…I really don’t fit there, but its a peaceful non-doggy place. And I like to lounge in my carrier, which on the floor is fine but *she* can’t get me in there at all if its on the table, MOL!

Zoey that is quite a stink eye you have going on there! Were you annoyed that the nice sunpuddle had moved away?

  36. You can’t make them appreciate their beds or to sleep where they look comfortable but they sure seem content!
