Hi everybuddy. The lady with the yellow hair found another feather in our yard and brought it to me. She said it’s a swan feather. I pretty much ignored it…I mean, it’s just a feather.
She was disappointed that I didn’t show much interest in it being that it was a swan feather and that’s something I’ve never seen before.
So she gave that feather to Ernie and he went all crazy-pants on it…licking it and biting it.
She couldn’t even get a good picture of him with it because he was moving so fast. Boycats…they’re so easily amused.
Hey, I woulda been that excited about that feather, too…had it had the rest of the bird attached to it.

MOL we agree about boycats!

No argument, ladies have more dignity than gents.
Zoey, that must be some sort of black cat thing. Our old bro William once actually ate a feather from a baby hawk that our mom found. Mom was not amused.

Oh Ernie, bet that feather was great fun. But you are right, the bird would have been fun but probably a little big for you. You all have a great day.
Zoey, we agree. Those feathers are much better when they come with the birds attached. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
Purrhaps lady cats take some time to admire beauty first. Also, well, most cats don’t perform on command.
Zoey, you have high standards, that’s all! Ernie is so much easy to amuse.
Some kitties just know what’s important in life. Stay cool and contemplate the feather your mama wiggled in front of you. A cool kitty like you would NEVER lose that cool over a FEATHER.
so more lunch, less toy?? MOL
Aw, you just never know about what the kitties will like or not like. That’s what makes the so entertaining.
Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥
LOL I love how you two reacted to the swan feather differently! You are cool cat, Zoey, and yeah boycats can be easily amused hahaha 🙂
MOL right we girls want da whole fing not just da feather. More fun to play with dat way 😉
xoxo,
Matilda (& Matt)
Good point Zoey, the rest of the bird would have been nice. 🙂
Olive agrees with you…boycats, sheesh!
Mew mew mew Zoey yore logick iss purrfect!!!
An Ernie have fun with THE feather…feathers sure are fun rite?

While I agree that those feathers are WAY more interesting with birds attached, I do find the occasional BIG feather outside (from the hawks) and LOVE the way they smell. I go crazypants like Ernie. It MUST be a boycat thing then!
Hugs, Teddy
I like feathers quite a bit myself!
Zoey, you’re right about boy cats. Our Saku would have done the same as Ernie with the feather.
Yes, it would have been a lot more fun if you had the rest of the swan too! You would have to watch out for those strong wings though.
So true! Boys!
You should’ve given it a try, Zoey! Why let boyz have all the fun?
I don’t do much with fevvers that mum brings inside either. Mum be an Ernie thing.
Girls just need more. 🙂
MOL! Zoey, you’re so smart! Boys are just immature that way.
Ernie, you must think that feather is better than catnip.
You got the right idea. Gramma used to have a friend who had a huge bird. She’d give Gramma a feather for Autumn every once in awhile and Autumn would go crazypants. I think we might still have a piece of a feather but I ignore it.
Male humans … boy cats … at least the boy cats are unbelievably cute doing their thing.
Zoey, someone else said that we girls have our dignity. I thought…yes…that’s it. Dignity. I sorta lose mine every now and again when the crepe paper comes out of hiding.
You are very sweet pretty Zoey and I can tell that Ernie enjoyed that gift!
Yes indeed Zoey, boys do seem more easily pleased, don’t they? That did look like a pretty feather, though!
Purrs,
Tama-Chan
We totally agree that it would be so much fun with the bird attached MOL
Last year Mom got her niece to send us a bag full of turkey feathers. We kinda pushed a couple around the floor, then promptly lost interest. Moms don’t understand that its the thrill of the chase, not the aftermath that counts.
If a bird was attached to it that would have been a sight to see!
We hear ya, Zoey. A feather is always more fun when it’s still attached to the bird! 🙂
Yes of course, take the bird and leave the feather(s) for Ernie, MOL!!
Petcretary brought me several really big turkeuy feathers, but I too ignored those…unless *she* twirled and whirled them for me…but Benji chewed them all to bits, silly crazy dog…
Ernie is such a goof ball!
Us ladies are so good in ignoring, aren’t we…MOL 😀 Enjoy Ernie! Double Pawkiss
