Hi everybuddy. So did you survive the 4th of July and all the noise? We did! Actually, it wasn’t that bad. We could hear the fireworks exploding off in the distance, but having the windows closed and the cold air blowing thingy on…because it’s so darn hot here…helped to keep the noise level down.

Humans are so strange. I don’t know why they have to make such a racket to celebrate. They should be more like us cats. Our idea of celebrating is taking a nice long snooze. And that’s what I’m gonna do now.

  1. You look so pretty napping, Zoey. And I agree, so silly to make that much noise.

  2. It wasn’t all that bad here either. We’re happy about that. We didn’t participate in any fireworks at all. We were happy just to have a relative peaceful evening.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. ♥

  3. We’re glad you had a good 4th. The boomies were super loud here and scared Noelle.

  4. i think your way of celebrating is absolutely perfect.

  5. Zoey, I couldn’t agree with you more! The racket kept up until after midnight.

  6. Zoey you are right and mom has said the same thing. Cats are more mature in their thinking, she says and I agree with her.

  7. As you might know me and Spike live in Scotland Greg from USA was on the phone to me and I could actually hear the fireworks in the background. x

  8. zoey indeed why all the racket and we will have to listen to even MORE racket tonight and tomorrow and the next day and might I say you look FABulous and I hope you’re enjoying your new home ~

    hugs from dai$y =^..*=

  9. It was probably good for you because you live in an affluent area right on the water. It was COMPLETE HELL here last night and I had the air on and the TV cranked up. We had morons setting off professional displays RIGHT IN OUR COURTYARD between apartment buildings and trees. I called the police who claimed they were coming out……….I don’t believe they ever did. Supposedly apartment/condo complexes are considered to be “private” property, hence the morons can do what they want. I am speaking to the property manager next week……next year I will withhold my July Association fee if what we experienced last night is permitted again. Glad for you it wasn’t bad.

  10. Our city fireworks got rained out, but our neighborhood was super noisy. And the city is going to try again tonight, which means two nights of boomers. We don’t like it. Zoey, you are looking particularly lovely today. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  11. It was fairly loud here but, fortunately, the cats didn’t seem to be bothered.

  12. We are glad that you are all ok. That’s a good idea that humans should be like cats. Kick back and have a nice nap. Not make all that noise. Thanks for the share. Have a great upcoming weekend.

  13. We’re glad you survived and had a pretty quiet 4th of July. Purrs

  14. Glad you all survived the noise. It wasn’t bad here either. You all have a great weekend.

  16. The fireworks on the 1st. were horrible here. We were all shut up for the night but they were so loud that me, Shoko, who is not afraid of load noise, ran and hid.

  17. I am glad you survived all those horrible boomies. We don’t get them here until November 5th.

  18. We couldn’t hear much with the a/c on either 🙂

  19. That’s the best way to celebrate, Zoey!

  20. I am so glad it was mostly quiet pretty Zoey, enjoy that snooze!

  21. We finally got some peace after 1:00 a.m. We sure could smell the aftermath all evening, though! Glad you all made it through OK.

  22. We all susrvived! The neighbour behind us shot his off on his dry grass yard and set it on fire! What a moron! Fortunately it did not reach my property. Noise-wise it was like the Normandy Invasion, but the cats seem to be used to it now, and kept to their favourite resting spots.

  23. I’m glad you survived with flying colors whatever that means. Not much reaches through our 4th floor double paned windows and even less will pass through the new windows that will be triple paned.

  24. My Momma “celebrates” a lot … cat-style!

  25. Glad it wasn’t too bad, Zoey! Worst is certainly over here, but some fireworks are still going on in the neighborhood, even though it’s raining! We agree, snoozing is the best way to celebrate.
    Enjoy your nap 🙂

  26. Yeah, we survived too. The really noisy stuff wasn’t close to us. House closed up, AC running, less noise from outside.

  27. I agree – a good, long snooze is a great way to celebrate!

  28. If the peeps kept their big pawrties indoors, then there would be no problems with all the boomers, of course, well, it might be a problem if they do boomers in a building, or worse if they have a kitty…sheesh, what am I thinking?? Maybe those boomers should only be allowed in the middle of nowhere…MOL!

  29. We totally agree here – why all the NOISE on the 4th – why not sleep and eat your way through it?!

    Hugs, Teddy

  30. Yay! We are glad you survived the boomies and stuff. We did, too!

  31. Snoozing is definitely a better option – cats are so smart!!

  32. Our neighborhood was quiet and we could see the fireworks in the distance, so they weren’t too loud, but pretty…ahem, I mean, bright! – Tom x

  33. Glad you survived! So did we. It wasn’t too bad this year.

  34. That’s a relieve, Zoey 😀 Pawkisses for a Silent Sunday to all of you 🙂 <3
