Hi everybuddy. Happy Friday! And for those of you in the northern hemisphere…happy first day of summer!
So far, the weather here has been okay. Not quite summer-like yet. But not like yesterday. Yesterday, it rained ALL. DAY. LONG. I spent the entire day right here in my hidey hole. The only ones that kinda weather is good for are ducks, geese…and these guys.
Yep, Mama Swan and her babies. This is the first time we’ve seen the babies. We were excited that they came to visit. Did you know a baby swan is called a “cygnet?” It comes from the Latin word for swan, “cygnus.” There…you learned something today. You’re welcome.
And now, here’s the final tally on the commentathon we had in honor of the orange stripey cat’s memory. There were a total of 90 comments! Amazing! At $1 a comment, that’s $90. But I told the lady with the yellow hair to not be a cheapskate and to kick in a few extra bucks and make it an even $100. And she agreed! So she’ll be donating that amount to the Winn Foundation in Wally’s name. Thanks to all of you that came by and left such nice comments. We really appreciate all the love and support.

Summer came here a few weeks ago. We have the HOTS with temps in the high 90s! Mama Swan and her babies are so sweet.
Great commentathon! Wally was loved by many (including us!)

Wasn’t yesterday the pits, Zoey? At least it stopped raining for me to walk in the neighborhood after work, but I had to wear a sweatshirt and long pants! Today dawns sunny, with blue skies; we can only hope we get more of this for awhile! $100 is a great donation; we all love Angel Wally.
We are so glad the commentathon went to sell. Great way to remember Wally. Thanks for doing this. You all have a wonderful day.
Oh WOW on the commentathon results – that makes our hearts here VERY HAPPY. We sure miss that Wally guy and know you all do too but I just bet he’s smiling REAL BIG from the donation to the Winn Foundation in his memory. Love the photo of the Mom and baby swans. Happy Friday!
Hugs, Teddy

Happy First Day Of Summer to you too. We had some really humid weather and rain lately. Love seeing the beautiful Swan and her babies enjoying a wonderful day. Thanks for sharing. Have a great upcoming weekend.
Paws up for an awesome commenthon! It rained here for the first day of spring – yes, in southern California! My human is still in long sleeves.

It’s wonderful the commentathon was such a huge success. And the lady with the yellow hair is so generous to donate $100 in Wally’s honor. xo
Hi Zoey! We’ve had a bunch of rain here, too. And it’s still raining! You guys sure raised a lot of money. Well done!
Thank you Lady With the Yellow Hair. That was very kind.
Happy Summer, Zoey! It’ll be fun watching those swans grow up! Yay for the donation in Wally’s honor!
That was a very generous donation. I think it is great that you can watch those baby swans.
Aww, those babies are so cute!
So help me … if swans show up at the park across the street … geese and ducks are bad enough! I have street cred, you know! ~Bear Cat
That was a great commentathon and a very generous donation in Wally’s memory.
After 2 weeks of very wet and windy weather, summer arrived today.
What a wonderful donation!!!
Happy Summer to you Zoey!
You look so pretty. Did you watch Mama swan and her babies?

Hello beautiful Zoey! Your swans sure a cute and hooray for a wonderful commentathon!
Those swans might be fun to watch, Zoey…as long as they don’t goose you!! MOL, we kill ourselves! Great news on the commentathon. Your mom is very kind and generous.
We’re right with you on the rain. Seems every game has at least one rain delay. It’s getting old. I thought a cygnet was a kind of duck, not a baby swan. I learned something.
Happy First Day of Summer. It has been cool, cloudy and rainy here for too long. A bit of sun today, but not much heat. Concats on getting a nice amount of green papers to donate.
Happy Summer! We had summertime hots here.
You’re welcome.
Happy Summer to you and your family, Zoey! And to the swan and her babies, too! 🙂
Concatulations on such a successful Commentathon!

That is a wonderful thing your Mom did in Wally’s memory. ♥
Our first day of summer wasn’t much to speak of either. It started out wet and miserable, though the sun finally showed up in the afternoon. Then as we were headed to bed it was raining again! I checked our rain gauge and we got 2 inches!
That swan family is just so cute! Wonderful results for the commentathon!
Happy Summer! Probably going to be a record setting scorcher, so scout out your shady spots now!
