Hi everybuddy. Welcome to my window. Y’know…this is the time of year when neighborhood-watching gets kinda boring.

Cat sitting in window

Look…there’s nothing going on out there. Oh sure, the occasional human goes running or walking by. Sometimes they have a dog with them. But it’s so sporadic. And even though it’s spring you’d never know it. I mean, the weather can be so unpredictable. One day the sun shines…next day it’s raining. Or even snowing…cod forbid! And it’s not warm enough to have the window open. *sigh*

Cat looking out window

A few more birds have been showing up lately…but it’s still borrrring. The highlight of my day is seeing the mailman drive up. Oh I know it’ll get better…but in the meantime, I’m bored. Guess I’ll go take a nap.

How are things in your neighborhood? Boring, too?

  1. I know!! My mom said we can’t have window whiffies yet either even though I have been sitting in my favorite window all day waiting. I even scratch at the glass – doesn’t work.

  2. spring can’t get here soon enough…

  3. Zoey do you ever have birds land up on the gutters or the roof?

  4. Zoey, the weather has been so goofy, hasn’t it?! Da Boyz stare out the window, and I look out too…but I don’t see anything, but they are rapt! Huh!

  5. Yes, things are a bit quiet around here, too. The most exciting thing so far today is that mama moved me away from HER pillow when she wanted a quick nap and read. I HAD TO MOVE. ARGGGGGH.

  6. It’s so easy to get bored isn’t it? Yes it is. You sure are a beautiful kitty though.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. ♥

  7. Never boring here with birds and squirrels always busy, and construction workers here a few days each week. Hope you can have your windows open soon. XOCK, Kitties Blue

  8. I has birdies and that’s about— it except the mailman.

  9. Maybe try a different window? This time of year we have to be so patient.

  10. Our neighborhood is still boring, but spring has sprung here! The robins and squirrels are out and about. Our human has even done some weeding 🙂

  11. I’m sure things will improve soon, Zoey, and you’ll have LOTS of activity outside your window soon.

  12. The birds will be there before you know it – hang in there Zoey!

  13. yeah things are pretty boring around here too. Love how you have your cat tree right at the window! Purrfect!

  14. Naps are always a good alternative plan!

  15. I’m sorry it’s so boring! I hope window watching picks up soon. The lizards are starting to reappear over here, so that’s fun for the cats.

  16. We have been complaining about the same thing with our window watchings. True the weather person is at fault but we have also put complaints in with the skwerl and boid unions
Love your photo in any case

  17. When I’m bored I just take an extra nap – I might just wake up to something more exciting – if not – I just go back to sleep. HAHAHA

    Hugs, Teddy

  18. That’s what nap is for. Pretty Zoey.

  19. Is it boring? You don’t know boring until you have been around here for awhile. The postlady practically runs by. There are no peeps out walking. It’s too cold. It’s Spring break so there are no kids to look at across the street. There is the odd woodpecker that shows up for brunch and that’s it. Terrible dull around here.

  20. You are right. When you are bored the only thing to do is take a nap.

  21. Sorry to hear you are bored. Time to get some of your toys out to play with!

  22. Very boring here too. Mudpie completely sympathizes with you, Zoey.

  23. Not too bad where we are. Critter TV is pretty good sometimes.
    We also take some naps.

  26. Early spring can be so drab. It’s nicer out…but not nice enough to do anything yet. Hang in there, Zoey, it will get better soon! ♥

  27. Napping is always the answer 🙂

  28. Maybe another window would be better.

  29. I sure hope the activity picks up for you soon sweet Zoey!

  30. We have open windows all the time now that the warm weather has landed. We are certain things will improve once your windows finally get opened! Until then, dream of all the wonderful window whiffies you have to look forward to! XO

  31. Sometimes, life is boring. But the birds will be back soon. Have a terrific weekend.

  32. Zoey, we know what you mean. We’ve had a few open windows but it’s been so windy that it hasn’t been any fun. Plus, there’s nothing to look at here, either. Izzy hiding under the couch because of the noise the wind makes has been pretty entertaining though.

  33. Nope, our trail is bizzy, bizzy, bizzy now that the snow is gone. Lots of walkers, joggers, mom’s with babies, people on bikes. Mum is out there too, checking out the spring sites.

  34. That black thing out there looks like a cat. Is it a cat? Where are all the big birds that Ernie is seeing?

    • Nope, that black thing is a bush. Boring! Those big birds are on the other side of the house…I suppose I could go look out those windows but that would mean sharing with Ernie…and you know how I feel about boycats. 😉

  35. There’s lots of activity around here since there’s new construction going on all around us. I get to sit out on our patio now that we can keep the door open with the warm weather. I watch all kinds of people walking by, big equipment chugging along, all kinds of stuff.

  36. Hey Zoey, we know how mew feel, it’s supurr quiet here too, we hope mew’re enjoying your new home though, it looks so lovely! <3 <3 XOX

  37. Here in the south, critters are very active and entertaining, and windows are open. It sure gets better in your area, Zoey! But until then, napping sounds like a good idea 🙂

  38. Zoey, I hope the TV channel picks up better shows for you! That’s a really nice window. Here in California, we can have our windows open. We don’t have birds to see surprisingly. The sunshine and fresh air are wonderful, though.

  39. You look so purretty Zoey. That looks like a great window. We could go fur some borin’ right ’bout now. Have a good nap. big hugs

    Luv ya’
