Hi everybuddy. I bet you’re surprised to see me here with Ernie today. Yeah, I know I give those boycats around here a hard time. But today is kinda a special day. It’s Black Cat Appreciation Day. So in honor of it, I’m graciously sharing my sunpuddle with my favorite black cat, Ernie.
Ernie…I’m sorry black cats get such a bad rap.
Thanks, Zoey. I know…being a black cat isn’t always easy…but I really think it’s getting better for us. People are learning that black cats aren’t evil or bad. We’re just like any other cat…just a different color.
Humans have some pretty ridiculous ideas. I’m glad to hear that those ideas are changing, Ernie.
Yeah, me too, Zoey. Maybe soon we won’t need days like Black Cat Appreciation Day. Though I kinda like having my own special day.

Well, Ernie…I can see color doesn’t affect you being a typical boycat…a real pain in the you-know-what sometimes. But despite that…you’re still my favorite black cat.
