Hi everybuddy. Y’know…sometimes I dream of being a wild animal…out in the forest, hunting for food. Must be all that feralness still in me. But then I realize I’m really an indoor cat. But that doesn’t mean I can’t have an occasional craving for some nice, fresh, raw meat.
So I was excited to be the one to try the Nature’s Variety® Instinct® cat food that we got from Chewy.com. Us Island Cats have always been big fans of Nature’s Variety Instinct cat foods because we know we’re eating a good quality food. And this Instinct Grain-Free Minced food is no exception.
Now this Instinct cat food isn’t really raw, but it’s the next best thing. Instinct calls itself “The Raw Brand” and makes all of its food keeping the pure, real nutrition of raw in mind…nothing but all natural, real ingredients.
Some of the key benefits of this food include:
- Protein packed containing cuts of real meat or fish in a tasty gravy
- Includes whole-food ingredients like carrots, spinach and cranberries
- Does not contain any grains or potato, corn, wheat, soy, by-products, artificial colors or preservatives
- Made in the USA with quality ingredients from around the world
We got both the Instinct Grain-Free Minced chicken recipe and rabbit recipe to try. I’m inhaling the chicken here. Yeah, you can say that I like it. It’s a minced food but the pieces are small, and I like a food that I can get my teeth into and feel like I’m really eating something that I woulda caught out in the wild.
If you’re looking for a good quality cat food, look no further than this Instinct Grain-Free Minced cat food. In addition to the chicken and rabbit recipes, it also comes in tuna and salmon. I hope I get to try those, too.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some more eating to do.
We wanna thank Chewy.com for giving us the opportunity to try the Instinct Grain-Free Minced cat food. Humans, if you aren’t shopping for your pets’ needs at Chewy.com, you really should be. Chewy’s prices and selections are great…all orders over $49 ship for free…and shipping is quick…most orders are delivered within 2-3 days. And the Chewy shipping boxes are the best in the biz.

to get more of the outdoor experience you should attack those packages to get at the meat…
I tried finding some of this product at my local pet store, but they didn’t have it. Guess I may need to add it to my next Chewy.com order!
OOOH! Bear and Ellie would LOVE this. I’m always looking for chunks with gravy for them. I usually prefer two flavors (like tuna and salmon or chicken and beef) – but I like the Instinct brand and concept, so I might make an exception.
That does really look like good food. We might have to try some of it. You all have a great day.
Enjoy it, Zoey!
That sounds like some excellent food! Our Miss Sam is so fussy, but I wonder if she would eat rabbit? She’s not quite as wild a girl at heart as you are, Zoey!

I always buy food that is grain free and our boys do like the minced much better than the pate.
