This was me yesterday waiting for the first trick-or-treaters to show up. Unlike Ernie and Zoey, I love greeting people at the door. The mom says maybe I should get a job as a Walmart Greeter, but I don’t think I’d look good in that blue vest.
I ran to the door every time those little trick-or-treaters showed up. The ringing of the door bell and their yelling didn’t bother me one bit. You know why? Because I wanted to join those trick-or-treaters! I figured if I could get out there, I could get some treats for myself. But the mom said no to that. Phooey! She ruins all my fun.
All the little kids liked seeing me at the door…one of them even reached down and petted me. It was really fun!
So how was Halloween at your house?

Walls! What a social butterfly you are! I’m thinking that more than a few of those kidlets wished that YOU were a treat to take home!
Wow, you’re brave. My kitty tried to escape last night too, he’s not allowed outside either. #meanMom
Oh Wally that must have been fun. I bet the kids loved seeing you. Everyone have a super day.
What a good boy, Wally! We suspect though that if you’d gone out, you would have been disappointed with the treats. We should have our own Halloween!
I think you would look adorable in a blue Walmart vest 🙂 I would love to have you greet me anywhere.
Mom thought I’d want to go home with the trick or treaters but instead I just sat FAIRLY near the door and watched. We had a lot of kids too and they were noisy but I just enjoyed the show – kind of like watching TV! I think you would look just dandy in a WalMart vest though Wally – my harness is blue and it goes great with ginger furs!
Hugs, Teddy
I’m glad you had a good Holloween, Wally. Chris is just like you and he was disappointed that we don’t get trick-or-treaters here because we live in an old-fogie neighborhood.
we had a total of seven kids- one group of three and one group of four. theo greeted both groups.
I have not seen a trick or treater at my door in years. I always have my favorite candy to give out just in case, but I end up eating it all–again–this year. Doorbells are scary enough here on a normal day.
You are very brave Wally and are a terrific greeter!
Oh dude, really?? Don’t you know those lil people are often sticky? We didn’t have any at our house this year.
We don’t do Halloween at our house. We did have a grandnephew come by and the human had a choice of candy bars for him. He was in one of those inflated dinosaur costumes. (The human said he was so cute as he waddled along.) Jenna hid when the doorbell rang. I bolted when I saw the family in costumes. We are really impressed that you greeted those costumed kids at the door!
I am envious! The humans here don’t do Halloween, so I don’t get to meet anyone. BTW, I think you would look awesome in a blue vest!
Wally Halloween is not a night to take a walk about for sure. There are ghouls and goblins galore
Hugs Madi your bfff
dood…..it waz quiet heer coz de food gurl werked til de hourz for treetin waz over ! ☺☺♥♥
We are glad you had a pawsome Halloween!!!
We’re glad you had so much fun for your Halloween ! Purrs
Glad Halloween was fun for you. How was Halloween for me? Really cold. I was in my Eskimo coat, sock monkey scarf and warm gloves. It was so cold the candy was hard to eat. Didn’t get many Halloweeners.
Wally, the lady would love to see you in the door like that. I didn’t know that you like to greet people. I’m more like Zoey and Ernie in that respect. It would have been great if you got to get lots of treats!
Purrs,
Annie
Hi Wally! You’re way to young to be a Wal-mart door greeter! I think seniors do that job. Tee hee hee. You make a great tricks-or-treats door greeter, though. I do that, too on All Hallows Eve. I look out the window & let Mom know when the kiddos are about to approach. Do the kids get to pet you? I only greeted for a short time yesterday, ’cause I tired out. As you know, it takes a lot out on a kitty. Hugs!
Wee not have any kidletss come here so it was a quiet nite fur us Wally!! Yur so brave to greet thee kidletss!! Mee prefurrss quiet after thee summer mee had!
~~head rubsss~~ Siddhartha Henry~~
We don’t get any trick-or-treaters and that’s probably a good thing here…our crew wouldn’t be as friendly and excited about it as you, Wally! 🙂
We’re glad you had fun, Wally, but also glad Mom wouldn’t let you out. Better to be safe than sorry. Purrs.
Sounds like you had a fun time! Too bad your mom is such a party pooper 😉 Our neighborhood is pretty quiet so we curled up on the couch with some spooky Halloween shows on TV…it was purrfect!
Goodness! Walley you are quite gregarious! We don’t know if I am yet. There have not been very many visitors since I moved here in the summer because Mommy was so sick.
Queen Penelope was like you when she was young! She LOVES the kids and used to sit in the bay window to watch them!

Marv (and Mommy)
That is a nice door to watch the world through.
Wally, you and Levon are both social butterflies! He likes to meet and greet at our house too 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
I am friendly like you Wally, but we have no trick or treaters here. That is because we live in a condo inside of an apt building, they aren’t allowed to go trick or treating here.
tee hee! we are impressed, Wally! we’d have gone trick or treating in your neighborhood just to see you 🙂 we had all the lights out at the front of our house so nobuddy came to our door. in general the knock on the door scares us but after our mom is at the door talking to someone, we’ll investigate.
sharpie, ditto
You’re a brave mancat, Wally! We hid out in the mancave with the outside lights off because some kitty here is a huge chicken.
Orange and blue looks great on the Houston Astros so…LOL! We hid and pretended we weren’t home for Halloween while we watched the World Series.
It was OK, I don’t rush the door like Derby used to, so mum did not lock me in the sleepy room. Plus mum got rid of almost all of her candy, so she is happy.
Dat’s pawsum Wally. We’re glad you had some fun at least. Trust us tho’, you were much better off inside. Nopawdy was givin’ out any treats you would’a liked. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Crockett’s our kitty greeter here.
It must be an ginger tabby thing, Wally. Cooper Murphy had to check out all the trick-or-treaters as well! Did you have many? XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
You are so brave, Wally! What a special treat for all the kids who came to your house to be greeted by you!
I would LOVE to trick or treat at your house if you were the greeter! Tucker used to greet the kids, and the kids loved it.
Wally, you are so brave and friendly! Glad you had fun Halloween with all the trick-or-treaters coming to your home! Our boys don’t like door bell, so we made sure to turn the light off outside. It was a nice and quiet day 🙂
Wally you sure have the right idea. We dont get any trick or treaters due to living on a highway
Oh Foo
Purrs from us all and thanks fur coming to our Halloween Pawty
Timmy and Family
What a fun and festive Halloween you had, Wally! Around here, the furbabies get locked on the other side of gate from which they can see the front door, but can’t reach it. Thimble, Toby, and pup Astrid liked to stare at the trick-or-treaters from the other side of the gate. Thimble especially would have liked to greet them all if this party pooper human over here hadn’t incarcerated her. Purrs!
Did you get many children? How brave of you to face them.
We got quite a few, but not as many as some years. It was colder this year…only about 40 degrees which probably kept some kids away.
You were very brave to greet the trick or treaters. Not many would be so.
Wally, you were the best treat for those little kids that came to your door!
It was very quiet here…24 little critters came to the door. I was, of course, under the bed counting the fish I caught. You are my hero Wally. I could never sit and wait for these goblins and ghosties.
Shoko
It sounds like you had a fab Halloween! We don’t get any trick or treaters. 🙁 We miss out on a lot.
Oh I’m glad that you had fun in Halloween. Unlike my little girl, she just laid on top of the wardrobe and watch other people, like a queen 🙂
Did you kid have sticky candy hands? Huh? I was proud of myself cos I only hid UTB once. After a while, I went into the igloo and slept.
Oh, Wally, I didn’t know you were such a brave kitty…or was it that once in a year time to let you pet for treats…MOL 😀 Love that you had fun 😀 Extra Pawkisses 🙂 <3
We had no one come to our door, but since we live 8 miles from the city there are usually none. Their peeps take them to more lucrative neighborhoods, MOL!
