Hey Ernie! I hear today is Black Friday. So I’m celebrating by hanging out with my favorite black cat…you!
Zoey, that’s really nice of you…but you do know Black Friday has nothing to do with black cats, don’tcha?

Nope. Black Friday is a day that the humans get up in the wee hours of the morning and go shopping.
Shopping?!? That’s crazy! Why would anybuddy wanna do that?
I dunno, Zoey. It’s one of the great mysteries of life, I guess.
Ernie, I always thought humans were a little strange…this just confirms it for me. I’d much rather hang out with a black cat than shop. Let’s change it to Black Cat Friday instead!

Well, our humans refuse to shop on Black Friday. Our mom might buy something online if it’s something she needs, but she refuses to set foot in a store.

One of our local shelters had a black Friday special where people could adopt black cats and dogs for $5. I thought this was a good way to help get them adopted. They still do reference checks, etc.
