Hi guys. I know a lot of you have been asking for an update on me. Well, I’m doing better…still not 100% yet…but they say it may take some time to recover from the pancreatitis attack that I had. The hardest thing to recover from was the 4 days I had to spend in the hospital. That was horrible! And they stole my furs in all sorts of places. Jeez! It’s gonna take a while for my furs to grow back. Let’s just say I won’t be doing tummy pics any time soon.
I’m starting to eat more on my own which is good, but the mom and the vets want me eating more consistently. Seriously…I’ve never seen humans SO obsessed with food and eating. They don’t want me losing weight. Unfortunately, that means I have to keep this stupid feeding tube in until I’m eating normal again. I wear a big collar to cover the tube…you can see it a little in this picture. Sometimes the tube gets itchy and I scratch at it…but for the most part, it doesn’t bother me much. The mom says I’ve been a real trooper through all of this…the tube feedings and all the medicines I have to take…not like I have much of a choice, right?
I’ve been camped out in the bedroom most of the time so the mom can keep track of what I’m eating. Otherwise, Ernie might eat all my food. He did that one day…snuck in the bedroom and ate some of my chicken. That didn’t make the mom happy. Ernie’s been acting weird around me, too. It’s like he’s scared of me…but he did sniff my butt a few times so it looks like things are getting back to normal between me and him. I don’t think Zoey even noticed I was gone those few days.
I really appreciate all the purrs, prayers and good thoughts you guys have sent my and the mom’s way. She’s more stressed about this than I am…so keep them coming, if you don’t mind.
We’re going to try to get back to blogging again…maybe not totally back to our normal schedule…but we’ll try to post more.

I’m glad you are feeling a little better. Years ago we had a kitty named Cleo who had to use a feeding tube. She didn’t like it very much either. You do look very handsome in your collar!

Wally, you will certainly have our purrs and prayers. Mom has remembered you along with me all the time, and we are so grateful to hear from you today. Mom said she wanted your mom to know she understands as do most of we mom’s- how you feel and what you are going through. We are both sending hugs and loves and prayers. xoxo I am so glad Ernie had a comforting sniff!

i think ernie is afraid for you. i’m glad he made you feel better with a little butt sniffing. feel better soon…
Hey Ernie, I really feel for you since I have been through all that to. I also found it really hard to be in hospital. By the way, one of the first things I started eating again after my attack was freeze-dried chicken treats. We buy a couple of European brands, Thrive and Cosma, but you can get them from Pure Bites in the States. They have no fat content so are great for us kitties with pancreatitis: https://www.petsmart.com/cat/food-and-health/treats/crunchy-treats/purebites-all-natural-freeze-dried-value-pack-cat-treat-3076.html?cgid=200051
Big Purrs,
Genji
Wally, I’m so sorry you still have that tube. I know how itchy it must get sometimes. But take it from me and my six-week bout with a drain in my ear–scratching it out will probably make your mom cry. Please keep getting better, pal!
And Ernie, don’t be sneaking in to Wally’s room to eat any of his food!

We’ve been worried and thinking about you a lot, Wally! We’re glad things are looking up a bit. Maybe it’s a good thing Ernie’s giving you space? Sending you our love, as always.
Yippee, we are so happy to see you, Wally. Eating more on your own is terrific. Keep it up so you can get rid of the tube, and your life can get back to normal. Ernie will come around. Fours days away, coming home with hospital smells and then having the medications change your aura and smell. We continue to purr and pray for you and send you lots and lots of love, dearest friend. Hi Wally! Glad to hear you are improving. Continued purrs and prayers, buddy!
Hang in there! You are doing great!
Continued purrs and purrayers being sent from all of us here at Angel Prancer Pie.
XOXO
We are very sorry to hear you had to spend all that time at the vet, but glad to hear you are doing better, Wally. Humans do seem obsessed with our eating behaviour!
We hope the feeding tube isn’t too troublesome. Fur is overrated though. 😉 We will purr hard for you.
Walls, my man! So good to see your ginger furs! Please eat up, big guy! I know your humans are doing everything they can for you, and I’m sending them hugs and purrs…plus a ton of the same for you! And a butt sniff from Ernie…well, maybe TMI, but seems like progress!
Wally, we are so glad to hear that you are doing better. We will continue to send purrs and prayers that you continue to head in the right direction, and soon have a complete recovery. ♥
We send big hugs to your Mom as well, because we know just how hard this is on her.

Dude! My brother-in-ginger-fur!! You look miserable and I’m so sorry!! Four days in the hospital!!!!?????!!!! OMC! I’m glad you’re home now and recuperating. I’m sure you’ll be back in fighting shape in no time. You can’t keep us gingers down!!! Take care. We love you!!
Wally!!! SOOOOOOOOo amazingly good to see you, Bud! Purrsonally, I don’t think I would care for that snake wrapped around my neck, but sometimes a ManCat’s gotta put up with what a ManCat’s gotta put up with, right? The Yellow-Haired Lady is doing a stellar job of taking care of you and of course she’s all worried–she’s a Human. It’s what they do, poor things. ManCatly hugs from me to you.
Thank you for your update, Wally! I’m glad you are getting better. Also glad Ernie is feeling fine around you, too. Butt sniffing is always good, right? 🙂 I hope you eat well, and recover 100% soon. Sending continued purrs and healing vibes to you. xoxo
We’re glad to see you, Wally, and glad to read encouraging news ! Your mom takes good care of you, and we keep purring for a good recovery. It’s nice of Ernie to sniff your butt again, that sounds so friendly, isn’t it ? Purrs
Great to see you’re well enough to blog again Wally. Now you just have to eat more so they can remove that stupid tube. TW doesn’t know what she’d do if I had to be tube fed. I get hysterical with anything around or near my neck. They might have to put me down or something.
So glad you are feeling better and eating some on your own!
Hi Wally! Great to see you and we are glad to see you are doing better!!!!! Ask your Mom if the Vet thinks there is a chance that you got that from food? I wondered about that. xoxo
Wally,
It is so good to hear from you and see you! You look great. Thanks for the update. I can’t wait to read that you’re eating normally again. You’re getting wonderful care from the mom. Take care! We love you!!
I’m glad you are starting to eat again, Wally. I’m sending lots of purrs your way as you continue to get better.
I am SO glad you are starting to feel better, Wally, and I hope you are all better soon. Rest and eat and let your body heal. I have been thinking about you and sending prayers, and Abbey, Natasha, and Connor are sending purrs. We will keep doing that for you and for your Mom.
We’re happy to hear you’re improving Wally! Being forced to eat? You better milk that for all it’s worth and eat up! We’re sending lots of purrs for you to keep getting better!
Sending good thoughts. It took Georgie about 6 weeks on the feeding tube to eat enough on her own. Better to keep it in longer than mot.
Purrs and prayers continue to go out to you. We’re glad you’re doing better!
The Florida Furkids
Thanks for the update Wally, we have sure been worrying about you. Purrs and prayers pal, get all better super soon.
Hey Wally my bud, You are looking pretty good, kinda thin though. I’m putting on the weight you’re losing so stop losing dude! Kali and I are purring for you to eat normally now. Your collar looks chic…bet Kali would like one. Nobody would ever think there’s a feeding tube in there. It looks like a custom made collar.
Shoko
Thanks for the update, Wally! We were wondering how you were doing. Not being able to eat is the worst. Hope you keep getting better!
Wally my buddy, pal and friend…..nothing could make me happier than seeing your smiling face and hearing that you are feeling so much better. It will take a while to get totally back but you’re looking good……and that makes my heart happy. I’ll continue to send POTP my friend and here’s an extra special hug for your Mom from me and my Mom. Your Mom is a real trooper with all she’s doing to help you…..
Love always, Sammy

So glad you are doing better! You still look very handsome! Amarula sends a big “Meow!”
Thanks for the update, Wally. I am glad you are improving and I am purring for you to continue to do so. It is hard to eat when you don’t feel like it. My mum gives me a buffet bar with 4 different varieties to try and tempt me to keep eating when I am not feeling like it.
Oh Wally me’s handsum furiend. We’re so glad you’re home and doin’ some better. We of course will keep you in our purrayers. We know how the illnesses can be and how much our mommies freak out when we don’t eat. So purrlease, eat, eat, eat and get better fast.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
if only cat moms were so willing to give food when cats were willing to eat it?? then the kitties would be happy 🙂
I’m sorry about the furs Wally, but if it is any consolation, you do not need them to be handsome..

You are home, and eating – this is good. Now eat more OK Lots and Lots. I reckon Mum wouldn’t mind a tubby ginger would she 😉
Go for it Wally!!!
Oh, Wally, my heart is aching for your troubles and frankly, you look a bit worn out from all of this stress. BUT…your mama feels you are on the mend and kitties (and anthros!) get over pancreatitis and you must do that too. Ernie will help in the long run, I hope. Or he will hear from me, Loulou! Love from us all!
I’m so glad to see you are on the mend 🙂 I’m sure your mama will have you back to “normal’ with her splendid nursing care!
Judy

Its good to see you here once again, Wally. Wow, you sure have been through a lot. You are brave kitty and we hope and pawray that soon you won’t need that feeding tube anymore.
Maybe you can make your collar a fashion statement in the meantime…like themed for the upcoming holidays and such. Then you might be the envy of others…nah…we’d rather you were just regular good Wally!
Purrs and hugs and more hugs for your mom who is working really hard to jeep you on the right track.
Ernie…you gotta not eat Wally’s noms, OK??! We love you and Zoey too ((((( ♥)))))
