Wally and Ernie are talking

So have you met her yet, Ernie?

Met who?

Our house guest.

We have a house guest?

Guess that means you haven’t met her. Yeah, Ernie…we have a house guest…her name is Sadie and she’s one of the cats from the shelter the mom volunteers with.

Sadie is looking for a home

What’s she doing here, Wally?

Well, from what I’ve heard the mom say, the floors at the intake facility for the shelter have to be repaired which is gonna take a few days. That meant all the cats there needed to be moved out. The only place to house them temporarily is the adoption center. In order to make room for them, many of the cats at the adoption center needed temporary foster homes…so that’s why Sadie is staying with us.

Sadie...Sadie...pretty lady

Have you met her, Wally?

Nope…and I don’t think any of us will get the chance. She’s staying in the room down below. Even though the mom says Sadie is really sweet…super friendly…and very pretty…she doesn’t want to upset us, so we’ll probably not meet her.

Could Sadie be any sweeter?

The mom’s not getting any ideas about making Sadie a permanent resident, is she, Wally? I don’t think I like that idea.

Nah, don’t worry about that, Ernie. This is just a little vacation for Sadie away from the shelter.

Well, Wally, I’ve always said living on the island was like being at Club Med.

We hope Sadie finds a home soon

Island Cat Mom here. Yes, we have a house guest…beautiful Sadie…one of the cats from our shelter looking for a home. She’ll be staying with us until next Tuesday. The shelter says she’s about 4 years old (but she’s a tiny thing…I have my doubts about that age) and she’s such a sweetheart…she loves people. I apologize for the not-so-great photos…the lighting in the basement isn’t the best, and I didn’t want to use the flash with her. But her coloring and markings are just stunning. She has a little bit of a watery eye and she’s taking medication for it.

Despite their “talk,” I don’t think Wally, Ernie or Zoey are aware of Sadie being here, though they’re quite curious as to why I’m spending so much time in the basement lately.

If anyone wants more information about Sadie or would like to give her a forever home, please let us know.
