Hey everybuddy. Wally and Ernie here. Y’know, it’s been a while since we’ve let the garden center cats, Chip and Slim, have any blog time. For those of you who may not be familiar with Chip and Slim, they’re two feral cats…though they don’t act very feral anymore…that live at the dad guy’s garden center. They stay mostly in a back room where there’s lots of straw and some heated blankets for them.
Chip and Slim are doing pretty good. We bet they’re glad spring is here, and the weather is getting better so they can go out more into the garden center. We hear there’s lots of cool stuff to explore.
Here’s Slim…waiting to have his belly rubbed. The dad guy says Slim just loves a good belly-rubbin’.
And Chip…showing his belly, too. Looks like he could use a bath, don’tcha think, Ernie?
Yeah, Wally…I guess that’s one of the disadvantages of having white furs when you’re an outside cat.
Chip is the more adventurous of the two. He’s out wandering a lot. Whereas Slim likes to hang out in their backroom most of the time.
Y’know, Wally…Chip and Slim may not have all the comforts that us Island Cats have, but they have food, shelter and people who care about them. And they have each other. And that’s what matters.
You’re so right, Ernie.
