Zoey-sitting-by-window

Hi everybuddy.  Long time no see, right?  I told the lady with the yellow hair that I didn’t care how she was feeling, she needed to get me on the blog because it’s been far too long since all my furiends and fans have seen me.  And y’know something?  She always lets me have my way. As it should be.

By the way, the lady with the yellow hair wanted me to tell all of you that she’s doing okay and continues to improve.  But enough about her.  I bet you’re all wondering how I’m handling this situation.  Well, things have been discombobulated lately.  The big guy has been feeding me and cleaning my litter box which is strange.  And the lady with the yellow hair has been walking real slow…at first with this metal thing that scared the bejesus out of me…and now with a long stick. And strange humans have been coming in the house.  I don’t like any of this at all.  So I’ve been spending most of my time under the bed covers.

I can’t wait for things to get back to normal around here.  I hope it’s soon…because I don’t like being discombobulated.

  1. Wow, Zoey, sounds like the Mom is moving right along. Not to worry, I bet that the lady with the yellow hair will be back to normal soon and so life should be back to where it should be soon too. We don’t like discombobulated either. We sure send that Mom lots and lots of purrs to get well and soon.

  2. Oh, gorgeous girl, we totally understand. Your life has been turned up side down – does anyone notice?? PS: Mom is glad your Mom is getting better.

  3. It sounds very horrible for you! Sticks and people. UGH! At least you are getting fed. Does your big guy do the feeding right at least? Ours does a poor job of it.

    • I’m usually fed late, which is totally unacceptable. And don’t even get me started on how he “cleans” my litter box. Me and those boycats are plotting a rebellion!

  4. we hope things settle down soon…..and back to normal. looking good Zoey

  5. Being discombobulated is no fun at all, Zoey. Hope things get back to normal for you really soon. But at least the lady with yellow hair is always home with you, right?

  6. Poor you, hope things get back to normal soon. Glad to hear your Mom is doing better.

  7. Zoey, I can see that the corners of your mouth are turned down just a bit…but you are a brave lassy who will weather this storm! Your momma and dad are still giving you huggin’s and lovin’s and stuff? Well then, all is well. If strange people are in the house, just flick your fluffy tail at them!

  8. Good for the lady! I hope her healing continues. She is fortunate to have the guy helping out, too. He deserves kudos for that! I hope things continue well and that things get back to normal very soon. xo

  9. Oh you beautiful girl! I have missed you. We beauties need to stick togevvers! BUT your mom needs lots of attention right now so be nice now…be nice. xoxox

  10. Zoey, we are sure that is the inspiration for your mom to get back to normal asap!

  11. I know exactly what you mean, Zoey. We have to make sure the yellow walks ons her own again real quick, so here come some Extra Double Healing Pawkisses to make sure of that…and some for a Happy Weekend too 🙂 <3

  12. I’m glad to hear your mom is using a long stick instead of the metal thingy, that means she is getting better. Soon things will be back to normal for you Zoey. Thanks for the update.

  13. Zoey, none of us kitties like being discombobulated! Our mom has done this to us so many times it’s almost like a hobby with her. We are happy that mom Sue continues to improve. She remains in Mom’s prayers and our purrs until she is 100 % well. XOCK Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  14. Ha!! “Discombobulated” is one of my Mom’s FAVORITE words!!! Hang in there Zoey! Your Mom seems to be making GREAT progress, she is already using the stick? She is coming along GREAT as I knew she would be! She will be herself in no time! Send (((hugs))) to your Mom!

  15. ZOEY DARLIN’ I HEAR YOU….BEING DISCOMBOBULATED (that is at least a $15.00 word)
is horrid. STRANGER DANGER AND STRANGER SCENTS ARE MY LEAST FAVORITE THINGS
HUGS ALL AROUND AND WHEN YOU CAN GET NEAR THE LADY WITH THE YELLOW HAIR GIVE HER A HEAD BUMP FROM US
    MADI AND MOM

  16. Oh, yeah, do we kitties HATE discombobulation! But I am so glad to hear that the yellow-haired anthro is walking with a stick because from there it will only be a hop, skip and jump (er…sorry) to just walking upright with NO stick.
Good luck to her from us here in France.
    Loulou

  17. We too hope it’s a short period of discombobulation.

  18. We’re sending our best comforting purrs right away to help this discombobulating thing go elsewhere. Who needs something with this many letters in it anyway?

  19. Zoey, I hope things go back to normal for you very soon!

  20. Glad to know that you are well, Mis Zoey!! Even if you feel all discombobulated!! meowmy loves how that word rolls off her tongue, MOL!!

You know, when all is said and done, maybe you might miss all the daily excitements, cause then it will be, well maybe a bit boring…

Its good to know your Yellow Haired lady is getting steadily better!

  21. Poor Zoey! Obviously your comfort wasn’t part of the planning process which is just wrong! Hopefully the lady with the yellow hair continues to improve so things get back to normal pronto!

  22. Oh dear….well if it’s any consolation I’m thinking the lady with the yellow hair isn’t too thrilled about how things are now either (!!!) but soon she will be all healed up and won’t need that metal thing that’s so scary……and you’ll see lots more smiles on her face too…..meanwhile, we’re sending prayers, purrs and POTP your way!

    Love, Sammy

  23. Some purrs up front for you Mom, then a whole lot for you three for having to deal with this. I hafta tell you that for me the WORST would definitely be having strange people coming to the house. InTROODERS they are!!

Hope all is very back to normal soon. Maybe you can get extra treats somehow.

  24. We are happy to see your pretty face, Zoey! We’re glad to hear your Lady is coming along. Hang in there…things will get back to normal soon!

  25. We’re so happy to see you pretty Zoey! You are right, combobulated is much better. Purrs to that special Mom from all of us.

  26. You’d think with all the healing purrs you kitties are giving your human, she wouldn’t need all these extra props and people!

  27. Come to me Zoey, and I will combobulate you back to normal! 🙂

  30. It’s so great to see you, Zoey! It’s very good to hear that the lady with the yellow hair continues to do better! If my big guy were doing the feeding, I wouldn’t be happy, and I would definitely hate all those strangers coming in. Here’s hoping things return to normal for all of you soon!

  31. Feeling discombobulated is not a good feeling Zoey. Does your dad do your food right? My mum mushes it just the way I like it, but my dad just empties it in my bowl and it never tastes the same.
I am glad your mom is improving and hope she feels better every day.

  32. Zoey we’re glad that the lady with the yellow hair is doing better. But we understand how it is when strangers come in we go and hide too!

  33. It’s good to see you, Zoey! We’re glad the lady with the yellow hair is doing better. Being fed late is not acceptable at all. The big guy should get it together.

  34. Zoey, you have beautiful eyes! We hope the yellow hair lady will continue to feel better!!

  35. Bein discombobulated are no fun at all.

  36. Zoey, I’m sorry your world has been topsy-turvey lately. Despite all the comotion, you’re looking lovely and I’m sure things will get back to normal soon.

  37. Glad your mum is doing OK. The strangers won’t be around forever and neither will the walking stick.

  38. I am glad your Mom is feeling better and already progressed to a stick. I am sure you are being great nurses.

  39. You wear it well! Thank cod the lady is coming along and will be back in fine form soon!

  40. We’re glad the Lady with the Yellow Hair is doing better, Zoey. But that discombobulated stuff sounds really unplasant. We hope things get right for you, soon!

  41. Oh Zoey, no kitty likes changes to the routine that’s for sure, sweetie. Sending Island Mom tons of healing purrs, good thoughts and good vibes for a smooth recovery with ease. We know you kitties will take excellent care of her.

  42. I am glad that the lady with the yellow hair is doing better and has improved enough for a walking stick. ☺ I know that it is most difficult on you, Zoey. You are such a brave, brave cat. ♥

  43. We admire yer tolerance of the sick Mom. A lesser cat ould whine, but you have simply presented the facts. Good werk.

  44. Oh, poor Zoey! We’re so sorry about all the inconvinience this surgery has caused! It gets probably even worse that everybody is wondering how the human is doing? And not paying attention to how hard this situation is for YOU?? And then you didn’t even get to blog about it? Bah.

There’s one more thing that human of yours needs to do: we think she’s once entered your email in the url column at our blog / on a WordPress Blog. When we click on your name above your comment, we get a warning message from our anti virus program about phishing). So the woman with the yellow hair probably needs to delete her cookies and / or rewrite the information.

(Just wanted to let you know – we know the url of your blog, but it’d be a pity if someone else didn’t read your blog because of a phishing warning)

  45. We totally understand you, Zoey. We’re glad your mom is doing better, and hope everything comes back to normal soon. Purrs

  46. It’s great to see your beautiful face, Zoey! Glad your mom is getting better, but it must be really hard to deal with all the unusual stuff going on. But don’t worry, it’s gonna go back to normal eventually 🙂 Meanwhile, make sure to fluff her up well…that’ll make her heal faster!

  47. We are glad that your mom is doing better, Zoey. But, we hope things get back to normal soon. It is really hard when you are discombobulated. Cats do not like changes in their lives.

  48. We are pretty sure we would be scared of metal contraptions too.
We do not like it much when things change around here.
Discombobulated is a purrfect word 😉
Hope things get back to normal soon.
    Purrs Georgia and Julie,
    Treasure and JJ

  49. We have had some chaotic goings on around here lately too so we know what you mean.
Hope everything settles down and gets back to normal soon…

  50. Why, hello beautiful! Don’t faint now, it’s ME, Spitty. I am so ashamed of my Human for being such a bad visitor, especially when we has been reading about the Lady with the Yellow Hair and we has been wishing her well through her operation and recovery. It sounds like she is doing great, Zoey, but even so I understand about hating it when things are different from the way they are supposed to be. I think what you should do is take a whole lot of extra naps and probably the time will go by faster. Say hello to those irritating BoyCats for me and give the Lady some extra purrs from me, okay? XOXOXOX

  51. I am so glad the lady with the yellow hair is doing better. But guys… really? I know it is hard, but you should try to be a little nicer about it… I am sure she’s not thrilled either…

MOVE OVER MOMMY! – sheesh… it;s me… The Lucy – I can’t trust the lady with the brown hair to do anything… She doesn’t get it at all…. You are 100% right. how your lady feels is none of your concern. Cats rule!

  52. Oh my! That is quite the ordeal for everyone! So glad the lady with yellow hair is recovering nicely! I’m sure she can’t wait for the discombobulation to end either! Purrs!

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Lexi

  55. At least she got something up for you. I remember going through the strangers in the house after Pop’s operation but I hadn’t yet been traumatized by the v-e-t and I stayed right there watching. Just be glad your yellow-haired lady doesn’t have a wheely chair.

  56. Oh gosh, I just hate when things all get mixed up because of stuff with the humans. I sure hope things get back to normal soon and that the lady with the yellow hair is feeling like herself again soon!

  57. Zoey, you do discombobulated very well! You look gorgeous! 🙂 We are happy to hear your Mama is getting better slowly but surely. Hooray! 🙂 Sending her lots of love and continued healing energy 🙂

  58. I hate when things change too! My parents got a new couch and that sure was scary! Signed, Sadie

  59. We are all so glad to hear The Lady is doing well. That means things should be back to normal soon. Hang in there!

  60. Allie: oh girlfriend, I feel your pain. Discomobulation is a horrible thing to experience!
