Nurse Ernie

Hey everybuddy!  Here’s an update on the mom.  She came home from the hospital place a couple of days ago.  She says everything went pretty good, all things considered.  She’s got a new hip now, but she’s still getting used it it and walking real slow.  And she’s walking with this big metal contraption with wheels on the bottom.  Lemme tell ya, that thing is scary and I’ve been staying clear of it.

I’ve been taking my nursing duties very seriously.  I snapped this selfie of me holding the mom down in bed so she rests.  She has some pain and her leg is pretty swollen, but they gave her some good drugs to help with that.  We’ve been doing lots of snoozing and cuddling.  This recuperating stuff is gonna be more fun than I thought it would be…well, ‘cept for the metal thing.  The mom says it’s temporary, thank cod.

We’ll update again soon, and hope to be back to our regular posting schedule in a week or so.  Until then…back to my nursing duties!

We’re sending HUGS to your Mom (and to you too!).

  40. Great selfie Ernie!

We’re glad to here mom is doing well after her surgery. We’re sure the three of you will take furry good care of her while she recuperates. Stay away from the wheels.

  41. Somehow we missed the news that she was going to have surgery. Sure are happy to hear she’s home from the hospital and that surgery went well. With your expert care she’ll be good as new in about 4 weeks. Just stay out of the way of that rolling-wheel thingy – we have one of those here too and I’ve gotten used to it, although M doesn’t have to use it every day. Healing purrs being sent to your mom pal.

  42. Ernie, your nursing duties and Zoe’s and Wally’s are the best meds your Mom can get. I know cuz TKS and I are THE ONLY REASON Mom L got herself up and about in record time with her second knee replacement. She only used that metal thing-a-majig for like a few days. We did like it either. Sending you Mom warm purrs and healing thoughts

  43. We know your Mom will heal even faster with your help. Don’t be scared of that metal thingy….it’s helping your Mom.

    The Florida Furkids

  44. Awww, you are so weet, Ernie. You’re lucky she doesn’t have one of them big chairs with wheels like TW had for awhile. Those really hurt if you get run down.

  45. Ernie, you are doing the job of 6 cats and I congratulate you. If your mom hadn’t gotten the new hip, the metal thing with wheels would be at your house forever! Glad she is doing so well and know she’ll see physio through and be back to her ole self again.

  46. You take good care of her – from a safe distance!

  47. Pssst! Make sure you keep the “good drugs” flowing… they can’t count so good while they’re on them and you can get away with things, like saying “why no, mom, you DIDN’T give me any treats. You must’ve forgotten” — ON the hour, EVERY hour. WORD.

  48. Oh, we’re sure you’re the best nurse she could ever get!!!

  49. Well done, Ernie! Here’s hoping your momma feels better soon, but tell her to take her time.

  50. I’m sure you make a great nurse Ernie! Hope your mom feels better soon!

  51. We appreciate the update Ernie! Glad to hear your mom’s surgery went well and that her job now is to heal. Tell her the process is slow but sure, not rush into things. Well, we see you’ve been such a good nurse boy to your mom. What is Wally doing?

  52. We hope your mom is feeling better every day! She’s going to heal up quickly with you on duty that’s for sure!

  53. Make your mom a big batch of biscuits – she’ll like that. And thanks for posting!

  54. You are a sweetie to be such a good nurse!
