Torus Water BowlHi everybuddy.  Wally here.  Humans, I wanna talk to you today about water.  Y’know, cats and dogs need plenty of clean, fresh water every day to stay healthy.  You should have several different water dishes around the house to help entice your pet to drink more.  But the typical water dish contains only a limited amount of water that can be reduced by evaporation or spills, or the water can get dirty.  This can even happen with the drinking fountains that’re so popular.  But not so with the TORUS™ water bowl by Heyrex™.

We were sent a TORUS water bowl to try out and see what we think of it.  The TORUS water bowl comes in two sizes…the 2 liter size and the 1 liter size.  We received the 1 liter size which is ideal for cats and small dogs.

The TORUS bowl doesn’t plug in or require any batteries.   It’s designed to hold the water in its insulated reservoir…and dispenses the water, through a carbon filter, into the bowl.  As your pet drinks, more water comes into the bowl.  Keeping the water in the reservoir prevents the water becoming stagnant or dirty.

And seriously…who wants to drink stagnant water?  Not me, that’s for sure!  And I bet your cat or dog doesn’t wanna either.

So what are some of the other benefits of the TORUS water bowl?

  • Replenishes automatically…water is dispensed as your pet drinks.
  • Large water capacity…it comes in a 2 liter and 1 liter size.
  • Easy to travel with…the valve can be locked to secure the water inside the reservoir so you can take TORUS wherever you go.
  • Filters the water…the carbon filter should be replaced monthly in order to ensure the freshest water.
  • The low profile and rubber feet on the bottom means no mess, no spills.
  • It’s made from food-grade materials.
  • It’s easy to clean with a little soap and water.  Vinegar can be used to help clean hard water deposits.
  • It’s available in multiple attractive colors.
  • It comes with a 1 year warranty.

setting up the Torus bowl

The TORUS bowl is really easy to set up.  The mom popped in the filter, filled it with water, screwed the valve top back on, set the bowl down on the counter and turned the valve so the water flowed into bowl.  Easy peasy.  I immediately dove right in to quenched my thirst.

  1. Interesting Wally. And I noticed your comment at Brûlée’s home about the calming chews. I was wondering f I would like to write the company and try to buy just those. I get my pantaloons in a wad every now and again and thought it might be good to try but your comment is what mine usually is with new stuffs to eat, so many times. Heeee. xo

  2. That sure looks like a great water dish. Great review too.

  3. Now, that is a neat water dish.

  4. What a unique water dispenser, I love the fact that it filter’s the water.

  5. I’m definitely going to have check that out… Thompson, who is drinking all the time these days, is very particular about his water. this may be to his liking…

  6. What a great water bowl!

  7. That’s a darn cool idea, especially since I have 2 sisters who don’t like the fountains!

  8. Now that sounds like an easy, peasy water bowl. M says that would be so much easier for her to handle than the big one I have. I’m going to enter your giveaway. If I don’t win, we’ll probably buy one. Thanks for offering this pal.

  9. I am constantly having to change the water in bowls for my furbabies – not because they are empty, but because my dogs and cats drink from the same bowls and the dogs tend to drool. This would be great to give my cats fresh water.

  10. What an interesting water bowl, Wally! I haven’t seen one like this before. Callie and Shiner love drinking lots of water everyday.

  11. This seems like a great water dispenser. My cat drinks lots of water and I have to replenish the water a few times a day. This bowl seems to solve that problem.

  12. This sounds and looks like a very useful water bowl indeed. It’s amazing how quickly my furbabies’ water can become dirty and stagnant, so I’m definitely intrigued! Thank you for sharing yet another wonderful review, Wally!

  13. i would love this b/c i have 3 little girls and the middle child drinks a lot of water, i have 2 large water bowls and they spill the water. also would be easy to travel with.

  26. The Torus water bowl looks awesome. That is something my boys would love. We get a lot of water evaporation now that it’s winter and the heaters are on. Thanks for the giveaway.

  27. Mr. N needs to drink more water so this would be handy!

  28. Hi Wally! That water bowl looks very innovative and maybe better than a fountain. Great review!

  29. That looks like a really cool bowl! We could love one. Thanks for a great review.

  30. This is great, would love to try this for cat.

  31. Obviously we aren’t entering since we have both of the Torus bowls, reviewed them and LOVE them…..we just wanted to stop by and vouch for how great they are! Good luck to all who enter!!!

  32. This is such a cool idea! This looks like it would be less scary for certain scaredy cats to drink from than a fountain, too. We’d love to try it.

  33. pawsome, Wally! that looks like a great idea for a water bowl. we think that would suit us much better than a fountain (we don’t like the noisy pumps). thank you for letting us know about them and for the chance to win one. good luck to everybuddy!

ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!

  38. This looks great, but the description that it is made from food-grade materials doesn’t tell us much. It appears to be made of plastic or PVC or some sort that Mom doesn’t use with us. Too big of a chance for allergic reactions. Enjoy. We won’t enter this time. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  39. That water bowl looks interesting. It’s a nice change that it doesn’t have to plug into the wall.

  40. Samantha is always trying to drink water out of the faucets, and it’s not because we don’t have plenty of water dishes around the house. We think she just wants it to be fresher! We had a fountain and she liked it, but that had to be plugged in and we just didn’t have a good spot for it.

  41. My question would be if the water doesn’t eventually take the taste of the plastic since if you keep bottled water too long it does. This would be a nice bowl since we don’t hardly have any electrical outlets.

  42. Oh, that’s just what I need…a torus. Granny says that I spoil my water every day, while I’m only make it move with my paw. She had to put a serving tray under it..and it still doesn’t work…MOL 😀 We are going to google for it, maybe it is available in the Netherlands too. Good luck to the entries! Pawkisses 🙂 <3

  43. Oh we NEED one of those! Our fountain died this summer and Mom fills our big bowl three times a day, but this would be so much better!

  44. I have the larger version for my dogs and I love it. Came across your blog while trying to get an idea of just how big the smaller version is (considering it for the dog’s crates while traveling). Don’t want it to take up as much room in the crate, but want it to give them enough water that it doesn’t negate the point of having to fill it so often). Thanks for the review!

  45. That’s a really cool water bowl, and we enjoyed your review. The cross-section schematic was great, because we were wondering how it worked. 🙂

  46. I like that there is not plug or batteries. Great design!
