Nature's Recipe in PetSmart #NaturesRecipe

The mom headed over to our local PetSmart to pick up some Nature’s Recipe® for us.  She found a great selection of Nature’s Recipe cat food available…both wet and dry…at prices not much higher than pet foods at the local grocery stores.  And y’know…most grocery stores don’t even carry the healthier pet foods.

Nature’s Recipe’s cat foods are protein-packed with real chicken or fish as the #1 ingredient, and include all the essential vitamins and minerals us cats need.  There’re several different formulas…like the indoor formula with hairball control.  You know how nasty those hairballs can be for us cats…and your carpet!

Nature’s Recipe dog foods include recipes tailored specifically to a dog’s life stage, from puppies to seniors, and recipes designed for supporting the needs of specific sizes and breeds.

The mom loaded up the cart with lots of the grain free foods for us.  Because you know the mom…she only feeds us grain free. The grain free foods are made with high-quality protein for easier digestion.  We’ll share this food with Chip and Slim, our garden center cats.  Even though they’re outside cats, they need to eat healthy, too.

  1. I’ve gradually switched the boyz’s food to grain free. I’ve noticed Thompson and Diego-san definitely seem to be feeling better than they had been…

  2. Great review and the Mom is going to try some of this. It is hard to do really good food since it usually costs so much. We will check it out . Sounds good to us.

  3. Looks like you guys have some great looking meals ahead of you!

  4. It’s great to see healthier alternatives at more affordable prices. Mom is always looking for back ups for our homemade raw diet.

  5. Sounds like a great food guys!

  6. We might have to try that food to see if we like it (we’re pretty picky). Those kind of containers don’t seal up again if we don’t get the whole thing so Mommy tends to stay away from them since we don’t eat everything in our bowls (we’re pretty picky). Thanks for letting us know about it though Ernie!

  7. Pardon me while I lick the slobber off the monitor….yummmmmmmmmy

  8. I do think we’ll have to check that stuff out too!

  9. It looks like you’re a fan of the food already, Ernie. And how nice that you’re going to share it with the outdoor kitties! Happy eating!

  21. “Real chicken” got our attention right away!

  22. We wish we had a PetSmart close by, but the closest one is about 60 miles away! The downfalls of living in the country….

  23. It’s a little pricey compared to the grain-free foods I use (Wellness, Lotus) but those tiny 2.5 ounce wet food packages are always the most expensive. I get the 5.5 ounce cans and that helps lower the cost a bit. But it looks like another good option for high-quality cat food. And if it’s yummy, who cares how much it costs! 🙂

  24. are any of those wet ones paté?

    • The grain free ones are not paté. They’re kinda shredded. But we hafta say, the grain free ones are really tasty! There are some non-grain free wet foods that are paté.

  25. We looked into that fur Minko, but they didn’t have the right kind of pate at our store…but it would otherwise have been YUMMY!
We eat mostly grain free now, too. Even the dog-guy:)

  26. We just got some Natures Recipe. I couldn’t believe how much variety there was or how low the prices were. Did the happy dance right there in the store

  27. We eat a grain free diet too, but have never tried Nature’s Recipe. We’ll have to look into it. Sounds yummy!

  28. We haven’t tried that food yet. Most of our food is grain free, so we’ll look into it.

  29. Great review! Mommy says she will pick up the shredded type for us and we’ll give it a try. I know Lexy will eat it, but me… well… we’ll see.

  30. That looks like some yummy food! I have heard a lot of great things about how healthy Nature’s Recipe foods are. It is nice that they aren’t expensive. I will have to take a look at these foods next time I’m at PetSmart.

  31. It sounds like a good food, Ernie! We will have the Mom check out the canned varieties the next time she goes to PetSmart!

  32. Ernie we have been suggesting to Dad that maybe he should change our food due to Rumpys horrible… well we will just stop there but cat o cat that boy can put out the stink. Maybe trying this will help us all be healthier
    Purrs buddy
