Hey everybuddy! Thanks for all the Gotcha Day wishes the other day. Y’know…I’m one lucky black cat. Did you know I was adopted because I was black? Yep, that’s right. The mom had heard about how difficult it is for black cats to find homes and when she wanted to adopt another cat, she only looked at black cats. How lucky for her…and me!…that she found me!
Speaking of lucky black cats…I’ve got something fun to share with you today. Our friends over at CATastrophes have made another great video promoting black cat adoption. It stars Hemingway, a black polydactyl cat…just like me!…as Magic Kevin…a cat that brings good luck to his humans.

Hemingway is currently at Tree House Humane Society in Chicago, IL waiting to find his furever home. But something tells me Hemingway is gonna get lucky…and won’t be waiting much longer!

Mommy so wants another black cat. She fell in love with a black and snuggly kitty named Cochise when Dad took his photos for Facebook and Petfinder. He was adopted in two days…by somebody else. We were all happy that we were not going to get a new brofur. But, black cats rock, and we are so happy that you were selected to be a part of your humans’ family. You certainly are lucky. Do you know Pop has always wanted a black cat but never was lucky enough to find one. TW heard another big thing about black cats: that people are more likely to be allergic to darker color cats.
