Hey everybuddy. Ernie here. Did you know us cats need about one ounce of water per pound of body weight each day to stay properly hydrated? Let’s see…I weigh just over 12 pounds. That means I need about 12 ounces of water a day. Now some of that water I get through eating my canned stinky goodness. But another way is by actually drinking water, which most of us cats don’t do enough of. So it’s important to make drinking water more attractive to us cats. One way to do this is by using a drinking fountain for our water.
Making sure pets drink enough water is important to the PetSafe® people, and they have created several drinking fountains to help us kitties maintain proper hydration.

Oooh! I’ve wanted one of these for a long time, and I stare at them longingly every time I’m at the big box pet store. Years ago, a friend gave us an old plastic Drinkwell that her kitty would not use, and ours wouldn’t either. I’d love to have this, because 1) Angel and Chuck need it, and 2) being a Pisces, having a water fountain in my house is good medicine!
We had a water fountain when we came to live with Mum but neither of us would use it so she gave it to a cat charity so someone would make use of it.

We don’t have a fountain, and Mom would like to encourage me to drink more water for all the reasons you stated. That Himalayan Blue is awesome – blue is our (Mom’s) favorite color!!
Mom bought us a really nice Drinkwell Pagoda. She was so proud of herself for scraping together the green papers for it, got a great deal… and we never touched. Didn’t even play with it. But it was awfully pretty. She was very frustrated cuz every other kitteh she read about LOVES theirs.

We would definitely love to win this. We’re having a lot of problems with our Drinkwell not staying clean and getting “nasties” in it, which we know isn’t healthy. We love the Himalayan Blue!

Neato! Mom has never bought me a fountain – we always thought the sound would scare me since I’m kind of like that but I do love fresh water and (confession) like to play in the water too so maybe this would be fun???

that may solve the problem of getting emma drinking more. i have no worries with buster. he eats voraciously and drinks like a trucker :). well i don’t know if trucker drinks a lot, but trucker sounded right with the sentence.
Mum is happy, we are both good drinking kitties.
Every blue moon I drink outta my 360 fountain but lately it’s been making funny noises. I really need a new one or I’ll go back to not drinking.

That fountain sounds so cool! We know that drinking water is super important, but we don’t always drink like we should. That’s why we always get canned food only. A found like this seems like it would help a lot too!

As weerd as it seems, we have tried several water fountains, and we just don’t like them. Give us a quiet bowl of tepid water every time…
My cat will only drink from 1. our own water glasses, 2. the toilet or 3. the dripping sink. I think she’s very picky about fresh, cold water…

what a pretty shade of blue! we have a fountain now but have been looking for a ceramic or steel fountain. this one will encourage kintaro to drink lots of water.

I have five Treeing Walker Coonhounds and three cats (all rescues) and right now the cats usually share the same bowls the dogs do. My hounds are a bit sloppy when it comes to drinking, and I’ve really been wanting one of these for my cats.
I love the blue color. Like drinking out of the lake.
