In answer to question about moving a feral cat from one locale to another; I think it depends on whether the cat will be cared for (fed, housed) at the new location, and not just dropped off to get it away from the old place. Cats are so territorial, you know! To relocate a feral, the cat must be confined for a time at the new place, so they lose their desire to try to find the old place. To answer your question – my human didn’t set up a test area for the blog design (she used to know how but forgot!), but in the latest version of WordPress (and if you are going to do a redesign, you need to to upgrade that first if you haven’t already) you can do a “live preview” of any theme you have uploaded. Just go to Appearance->Themes and you can do a live preview of any theme there before actually changing it. I don’t think it’s perfect, but it worked for us!
