Hey everybuddy! Y’know what today is?
It’s National Answer Your Cat’s Question Day!
And let me tell ya…I got a lot of questions for the mom!
So let’s get started.
Why don’t you want me on top of the china cabinet?
Well, Wally, it’s because there’s not a safe way for you to get down. You’d have to jump all the way to the floor and that’s a long way down. Besides, you have plenty of other spots to get up high, like on the big cat tree.
Why can’t we have the windows opened all the time?
Wally, it’s freezing outside right now! Trust me, you wouldn’t want the window opened. When it’s warmer, we’ll open them. But when it’s cold outside, they need to be closed so we’ll stay warm.
Well then, why can’t I go outside?
Same reason…it’s freezing out there. And you’re much safer as an inside cat, Wally. There’s too many dangers outside, like cars and other animals and even humans.
Why don’t you want me eating the plants?
Wally, eating plants isn’t healthy for cats. Many plants are toxic for you. And when you do eat a plant, like grass, you end up throwing it up and making a mess.
So where’d you hide the treats?
Wally, if I told you that, then you’d find them and eat them all! No, I won’t tell you where they’re hidden.
Who’s your favorite? Me, Ernie or Zoey?
Wally, I don’t have a favorite…each of you is special to me in your own way.
Oh…you sure think you have all the answers, don’tcha, mom??

Wally, you definitely had some excellent questions, and the Mom had all the answers. Bet you didn’t expect that. We didn’t even know about this day until yesterday so we didn’t post about it. Our question for today is similar to one of yours: Why can’t we go out on the catio? Mom says it is because it is 16 degrees outside. Sounds like a lame excuse for us. Wow Wally we are really impressed with your climbing/ jumping skills. The top of your Mom’s china cabinet is way up in the sky. We don’t think pawrents should hide treats. Maybe when they are gone you and Ernie and Zoey could hunt for the treat stash. Everything is closed up tight here too so we aren’t getting any good sniffies. Wally those were good questions. Mom has taken away all the living plants and lets them stay outdoors. Mr Ping is one who would eat anything green.

Your mom studied at the same mom school as all the other moms. They just know what to say because they’re trained to say it but of course we all know they are just spoilsports and we’re all their favorite!
Silver asked Mum a lot of questions – he thought other folks might give some answers! Your Mum has you all sussed – especially hiding the treats (ours are in a little tin bucket with a lid * sigh).

Wow, your The Mom sure made quick work of those questions, Wally. For what it’s worth, we can’t get the answer about treats out of our The Mom and The Dad, either.
Thank you for your purrs and prayers for Moosey. He seems to be feeling pretty good for now … we’re just waiting for those blood tests to come back to see where we go from here. Kind of stressful!
