What’s on Bird TV today, Wally?
The Cowbird Show, Ernie.
Cowbird?!? Whatchoo talkin’ ’bout, Wally??!?
What I’m talking about, Ernie,
is this birdie that’s been showing up at our feeders lately.
It’s called a Cowbird, though I think that’s a funny name for it
‘cuz it doesn’t look anything like a cow.
Hey…maybe it moos like a cow, Wally!
Oh, Ernie!

That IS a funny bird! We never see them around here and we have LOTS of cows in Oklahoma!
Wow, that is one odd bird.
We’d never heard of a cow bird before.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Bawawaahhah a Cowberd..Moo.. We don’t get those in the UK xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
I think and our Person is probably very wrong, that it is called a ‘cow bird’ because they sit on the backs of cows. WE have them down here some times.
Have a great day.
You would think a cow bird would sort of look like a cow kitty. He is beautiful, though!
Cowbirds are not responsible parents. They lay their eggs in some other birds nest and expect those parents to raise their much larger baby!
Wally and Ernie we have cowbirds too…but mom says they eat like pigs
And the female is a lazy bum. She lays her eggs in other bird’s nest for that mom to incubate…all around not our favorite. Birds
Hugs
Madi and mom
Watching birdies to so much fun! Me-Ommm
That is one pretty bird! I wonder why it’s called cowbird. It may in fact moos like cow – good guess, Ernie!

We don’t get those birds on our Birdie Network but it looks like a great channel!
We’ve never heard of cowbirds. But reading some of our furriend’s comments, those cowbirds sound very lazy and sneaky! Have you heard them moo yet?

I do wonder why it is called a cowbird? We used to see them a lot, but haven’t in a while now. Enjoy the show, you two!

We had never heard of a cowbird. That is one cool birdie and we bet it would make a great meal. 🙂 Does it taste like beef?

I hate to say it but that cowbird is a little bit ugly.
You guys!!!!! Perhaps Sparkle is right and it tastes like beef! 😉
Maybe y’all can get a saucer of milk!
If it moos, you have to get a video to share with us!
Oooooh! A COWbird? Let us know if it moos, okay guys? 🙂
Very pretty. Odin says, come here pretty bird, a little closer, come on almost there… darn, a screen window!
hey, that’s cool! we have those in our area but none show up in our yard. our geeky mom just looked some stuff up about those guys – interesting! Anywho, enjoy your program!
Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, Hollie
We have cowbirds, but they sure don’t look like that. Your cowbird is really pretty. Ours is a boring black and brown and maybe looks a little more like a cow (color wise anyway). But who cares…it’s a bird. Enjoy your birdy TV. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Maybe it’s camouflaged! Looks yummy……..
Must be tasting just like beef!
We like it’s blue beak. Crunchy. Erm, we meant, pretty!
I would love to hear a mooing birdy.
We have them here too. Don’t know why they are called that.
Yes we do have real bears – they rip the screens on the porch and try to get in for cat food so we have to reinforce the porch with hog wire.
Or maybe you could MILK the cowbird!! Heeheeheeheehee!
It is a cool looking bird boys! We had never heard of them 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
The human doesn’t like cowbirds. She says they are brood parasites. They lay their eggs in other bird nests. The much bigger cowbird hatchling will push the other babies out of the nest.
ummmm just wonderin’ guys…can ya milk that bird???
*licks lips* oh that sounds TASTY!
Cow and bird? Yum!
The Florida Furkids
We hope they TASTE like a cow! They are probably more fun than one too.
Kinna looks like it had a head transplant. Or a body transplant. Cant decide which.
I’ve never cared for blue food. Wait for a tasty orange robin.
Whoa! Never saw a cowbird and it’s not even spotted. What’s wrong with this picture? Enjoy your cow, er bird tv.
Wow, that is a cool birdie, we haven’t ever seen theese ones before! Great bird TV there, guys!
That looks like a tasty bird! Are there any of those birds in California? Meow and Namaste! ~Pippy the Feline Yogi

Maybe they call them that because they taste like real live dead cow.. 😉
Love their intensity – so gorgeous! 🙂
