what was wally doing

For this edition of “What WAS that Wally Doing?”
we go back to April 2009.

And let me just say, I haven’t tried doing this since.
I’m no dummy…I learned my lesson.

Don’t ask me what I’m doing up here.  I thought jumping up here was a good idea until I realized there was no place to go but down.  Fortunately, mom heard me and came to my rescue.  But not before she grabbed that darn flashy box.

Okay, mom, could you stop taking unflattering pictures of me and get me down now?  Guess I won’t be trying this again anytime soon….

  4. Hahahaha! OMC, that photo would be perfect for a humorous site or a calendar, something like that! We think that if we ever did something similar, and needed help getting down, our human would pee herself laughing.

  5. How did you get up there. Happy WW. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  6. diego-san tried something similar once. Once.

  7. MOL!!! Oh Wally, I’m glad your mom grabbed the flashy box…that is AWESOME!!!! You would have won a gold medal in the balance beam competition with that entry for sure!!!! :snicker:

  8. Holy carp Wally ! Serious harm could come to us by the time our moms get their darned flashy boxes to capture the embarrassing moments before they rescue us!

  9. Very smart of you Wally to try that move again. Whatever were you thinking? Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  11. oh she really got you on that one didn’t she? Cats used to be lucky before the days of blogs….they didn’t have to contend with the embarrassing things that they did being posted for all to see! MOL!
    Love, Cody

  14. Wally I’m totally and utterly speechless. OMCs…not only was it high but you had nothing to land on except a tiny sliver of shower door!!!
You DA Man for sure. Once was enough especially since the flashy beast captured it.

  17. Poor you. I’ve done similar things too 🙂

  18. We yoga kitties have great balance Wally and you demonstrated that by staying up there as long as you did! Meow and Namaste! ~ Pippy the Feline Yogini

  19. Um… Wally you look challenged…

  20. Oh wow, Wally! You were quite adventurous! Glad your mom heard you and came for rescue. But first thing (taking picture) first, that’s a great shot, hehe.

  21. A kitty has got to try what a kitty has got to try in order to gain some experience!

  22. Wow! How on earth did you manage to get up there? You’ll think the Mom would grab you first but noooooooo. She has to document your embarrassment AND post it for the world to see. Sheesh!

  23. Oh Wally… MOL ! Glad to know that you learned your lesson in that adventurous way !

  24. OMC you sure were brave jumping up there but you look a bit unhappy now that you got there!

  27. Oh, my goodness sweet Wally how in the world did you ever jump and land there? Were you wanting a nice shower? We are glad your mom was near to rescue you from that high not so cool place to be. Hugs and nose kisses

  28. Oh my Wally – take this tip from us doggies – don’t jump up on surfaces you’re not familiar with. I guess my tip is too late though — glad you were rescued Wally! WOOF WOOF

  29. Eeks! Did she really have to have that flashy thing nearby? Yow-za!

  30. You are right, Wally, that wasn’t one of your brightest moments.

  31. Wally, wow that’s impressive as is mom’s quick camera reflexes!

  32. Yikes! I wouldn’t try that either!

  33. Wow Wally a trapeze artist!! What’s next buddy? Gotta love you…Kitty

  34. Ouch!!!! Wally, did your meow go up a few octaves?? mol

  36. Oh my goodness! That looks so uncomfortable, Wally! Leave it to a blogging mom to have the presence of mind to grab the flashy box first. It’s pretty amazing that you got up there in the first place and were able to stay up there!

  37. Typical Paparrazi humans to grab the flashybox before rescue their cat !

  38. I am sorry but I did laugh so much. Glad you haven’t done it again though. Gave mum a huge smile. Hugs GJ x

  39. Wow! Wally, you sure were a real daredevil. We had a little laugh over this one.

  40. Holy Moly Wally! That would give my Human a scare…glad yours helped you down!

  41. y0W! Wally, you were one crazy kitteh! well, maybe you still are though at least you haven’t tried that move again 😉

    Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, Hollie

  42. Wally, what were you thinking?? 🙂

  43. We love how your mom left you hanging up there while she took her time taking pictures. We hope she walked in with the camera and didn’t leave to go get it!

  44. Allie: oh that is SOOOOO Faraday! If only Mother had been as quick a thinker as yours – oh the blackmail material I would now have…!

  45. OMC! That’s some mess you got yourself into and the Mom thought it was funny.

  46. Oh, my, that’ looks like tricky business!

  47. Yikes! It’s a good thing your mum was at home to help you!

  48. Yikes Wally that looks scary!!! Glad your mum was there to help…aren’t they the best? 🙂

  49. Yikes! We’re sure glad your mom helped you down! That little tortie kitten that moved in without our permission got stuck hanging by her front claws from a lacy curtain, about 5 feet off the ground. She had nowhere to go either, but the lady didn’t grab the camera first because her curtain might’ve ripped in the meantime. She thought about it for half a second though.

  50. Don’t worry Wally, we all have been victims of unflattering pictures, you’re not alone.

  51. sweetheart, you are scrumptiously beautiful no matter what you’re doing!! xxxooo

  52. We wanted to let you know that we have nominated you for the Super Sweet Blogging Award. To pick it up, please visit our blog: http://www.thecatonmyhead.com/thankful-thursday-award-from-woofies/

  53. Wally! What were you thinking?!! Showers are for hoomans! 🙂

the critters in the cottage xo

  54. That is humiliating. You know, one must try new experiences. Being daring is admirable. However putting your defeats on the interwebs is quite immature. The humans always take photos of our misfortunes. If only for thumbs, eh? Oh the photos we could take of our foolish mamas and papas.

  55. Buddy, that looks plain old PAINFUL. I can’t believe you did that!

  56. Love your blog – your sense of humour… and your cats 🙂
