What’s with the humans having to make such a racket to celebrate the 4th of July?  Sheesh! There’s been way too much noise lately…’specially last night…I couldn’t sleep a wink!  Silly humans and their fireworks and firecrackers and kabooms.

This is what I’m gonna be doing all weekend…I’ve got some snoozing to catch up on!

  1. We know what you mean! Why can’t they just celebrate by eating chicken and drinking tuna juice and naps?

  2. i’m a human and i agree with you zoey. i don’t see the appeal of exploding stuff.

  3. We’re sorry you didn’t get any sleep Zoey – we didn’t think about the fireworks – if you ever get scared by them again you are welcome to teleport over and snooze with us.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

  4. I hope it is quieter now so you can catch up on your napping.

  5. Seriously, don’t they know you need 18 hours a day beauty sleep? We hope it’s quieter today.

  6. Maybe it would be quieter under the covers, Zoey? The crazies here will be shooting off fireworks all weekend. 🙁

  7. Oh Zoey, sorry about all your Ka Booms. We were lucky and didn’t have any except for nature Ka booming. That looks like a good nap that you have going on there. Take care.

  8. It was noisy by our house too! I did great but Mom had to STUFF a treat dispenser FULL of treats for Dakota because he wouldn’t stop barking! Geesh! What’s wrong with woofies? Love, Cody

  9. I detest all that noise Zoey and see NO reason for it.

  10. It’s a pain in the proverbial, ain’t it, Zoey!!! Have a good weekend 🙂 xxx

  11. mom said we were pretty unfazed by all the banging….which she thinks is funny considering Tim gets freak out by the trash truck that comes every week 🙂

  12. Zoey, you can’t fool us. You’d be doing that all weekend anyway. We know we will be. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  13. Looks like you found a good spot for snoozing the weekend away… Lots of us kitties gots snoozing to do after all that racket last night! Even the Mom am tired. Too much noise!

the critters in the cottage xo

  19. Zoey girlfriend I agree. I am proud of the fact that my independent streak keeps me from enjoying cuddling. But I’m also smart enough to admit I found comfort in Mom’s arms last night. But that is enough cuddling for the year.
    Hugs Madi your BFFF

  20. We agree about noise. Humans like it far too much!

  21. We hope you enjoy a relaxing weekend Zoey 🙂

  22. So far the monsoons have keep our boomies quiet, but it won’t last forever. I hope you get some rest pretty Zoey!

  23. Hey!!!! I saw your comment on Mousebreath :)))) I do live on a small island and I would love to join the Island Cat’s club 🙂 Is there some kind of procedure??

    love, Austin (an Island Cat!)

  24. That’s the spirit! We’ll join you.

  25. Zoey, you poor girl. Our city doesn’t allow people to let off fireworks, but there was a big show nearby that was loud and it made me nervous. I can imagine how you feel. Hope you get lots of those snoozes this weekend!

  26. Some of the noise last night made my human grouchy! We live in a fire hazard zone and she did not like some other humans in the neighborhood setting off fireworks!

  27. Enjoy your snoozy weekend,xx Speedy

  28. We had booms all week as a different city did their fireworks! We hope it is over!

  29. Great idea! Now that we’re all out from under the bed (our mom included!), we plan on doing the exact same thing this weekend. Bring on the naps! Purrs…

  30. Our fireworks and noise came three days previous, on Canada Day. But the effect of fireworks on pets in, I think, international.

  31. Luckily official fireworks show near our home was cancelled thanks to rain. But there were humans doing their fireworks and my boys were not happy. I hope you catch up with your sleep. We will do the same!

  32. You know, NZ is an island… and we could use more BOOTIFUL ladycats… and we don’t really have fireworks (not like you guys get anyway!)

  33. We know how you feel. We’ll probably hear them all weekend.

  34. You guys who don’t live near NYC are sooooo spoiled. I have to live with so much noise every night. The jack hammers are much louder than fireworks.

  35. If it’s not fireworks, it’s action movies.
A kitty can’t get ANY rest around here.
    ; ) Katie

  36. I would not mind joining you on the pink blankie for a nice nappy tomorrow if you don’t mind, Sweet girl.

  37. We know exactly what you mean Zoey! We were all UTB last night!

  38. Kizmet thought the fireworks were in celebration of his birthday and he is completely tuckered out today from all of the commotion! Actually, all of the kitties are worn out and they are doing exactly what you are doing today, Zoey!

  39. They are just out of control.
Hoomans need to take more cat naps

  40. We will join you, we always need another nap.

  41. Us, too, Zoey. We could use an extra nap, too!

  42. Totally agree Zoey, we have been sleeping lots around here now that all the booms are over.
Now the Cicadas have taken over though….. Think we might go hunting in a little while hehe

  43. you should give yourself extra 12 hours of sleep in case.

  44. We have been hiding from the boomie noises fer 3 nights now. TBT says he is tempted to put our used litter on their doorstep.
