That’s right! I’m 10 years old today! Double digits! Y’know, I’m the only cat around here that knows exactly when he was born. I don’t know how many of you know my beginnings story, so I thought now might be a good time to tell it.
Before me, the mom had 2 cats…Bogart and Scooter. When Bogart went to the Rainbow Bridge at the ripe old age of 20, the mom debated whether to get another cat. Scooter was a senior catizen at age 12, and the mom wasn’t sure how he would deal with having another cat around the house.
A year or so went by and the peeps moved to the Island. The mom was still undecided about getting another cat. And then a friend of hers from work told her about a pregnant stray cat that had been found and taken to the vet clinic where the friend takes his cats. He asked the mom if she wanted one of the kittens once they were born. At first, the mom was a little reluctant, but then said if there was an orange tiger kitten in the litter, she would take it. The mom always wanted an orange tiger cat (‘cuz we’re the best, don’tcha know). Well, lo and behold, when the kittens were born, there was one…and only one…orange kitten in the bunch…ME!

So the peeps knew exactly what day I was born, and they got to visit me at the vet clinic when I was just a itty-bitty-baby-kitty before finally bringing me to the Island to live.
Little itty-bitty me
Oh yeah, about me and Scooter? Well, the mom thinks Scooter just tolerated me, but I think the big guy liked me because he could boss me around…and I let him. He was a pretty cool cat and he taught me lots of great stuff.
Well, enough of the stories! Let’s get on with the party!!
Have some live dead shrimps, ham and fresh salmons!
Wash it down with a niptini or two…milk for you little ones.
And there’s lots and lots of nip!
I’m so happy you’re all celebrating with me today!
