Surprise! I bet you didn’t expect to see me today! But I think it’s only fair that I get some extra blogging time, don’t you?
Whew! These long holiday weekends sure wear me out! I know it’s not Sunday…but I’m gonna take it easy today. But before I do, I gotta question for some of you gardening kitties and peeps out there. The lady with the yellow hair spent the weekend potting up lots of flowers for the patio…like she does every year. There’s one flower that she didn’t know the name of.
It’s the tall pink flower with spiky leaves in the middle. It’s an annual here…but it might be a perennial where you live.
Does anybuddy know the name of this flower? I hope the pictures are clear enough…the lady with the yellow hair’s a lousy photographer, isn’t she?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Mommy is hopeless at identifying flowers. 😉
We don’t see you often enough, Zoey. So seeing you today was a lovely surprise!
Hello pretty Zoey, it is always so nice to see you. Tell the lady with the yellow hair I think the name of that flower is Betty.
What ever it is, it is pretty. We are sorry that we don’t have a clue about what it is. Our Mom is clueless as far as names of flowers.
Zoey it is so exciting to see you on a Tuesday. Way to go getting on the blog. Bet the boys are sooooooo jealous. Take care.
OMC! We thought it was Friday already when we saw your picture, Zoey! MOL!
Mom is seriously flower challenged so is no help as to what those pretty flowers are.
what a nice surprise to hear from you this morning. that is one pretty looking flower although as you could probably guess, i’m no help when it comes to identifying any plant.
Hi Zoey nice to see you again so soon. Mum doesn’t remember the name… that’s not with the flower, but it is with everything…poor Mummy!
Kitty
It sure is pretty, but we don’t know what it is. I hope someone knows.
It’s no good asking out Mum she doesn’t know many flower names and she doesn’t know the difference between a trowel and a pitchfork!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
You are looking lovely. Mummy said she had no idea about that flower. 🙂 Skipper
Hopeless at flower names, but just in case no one comes up with the name before, I have emailed a pic to my brother who is a botanist! 🙂
Most of our mommy’s flowers are brown since she has a black thumb so we don’t know what a pink flower is. We do know that you are a very pretty ladycat Zoey!
Good to see you Zoey. WE are no better at flowers than any one else!
Your arrangement if beautiful. I know the names of very few plants, so can’t help out there. It is very beautiful, though.
Zoey, you look ever prettyful! 🙂
LP thinks she has a purple flower like that in one of her pots but she doesn’t remember the name…in fact most days she doesn’t remember her own name…it’s like that around here !
The flower arrangement looks really lovely though 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
For someone who loves nature, my mum isn’t very good at identifying flowers. They are very pretty though.
wasn’t expecting it, but was oh so happy to see you
lovely!!!!!
I do not know the name, looks like it would be fun to bat at! If she needs any advice on creating a cats garden, just follow the link over. 😉
Zoey, I think you are prettier than any flower! My human is clueless with plants – she did not even know what a hibiscus looked like – she had to ask after taking photos of one!
Hmm, our Mom usually knows plants but that one has her stumped too. She suggests checking out davesgarden.com to see if you can find it in the plant files there. Good luck! Purrs…
Is it penstemmon? We have those here in the desert.
TW used to be an expert on flowers when she lived in the house with Willy B but has forgotten them all. Did you google tall pink flowers? MOL!
It looks familiar, but we sure can’t put a name to it here either. It’s pretty tho!
It is lovely to see you Zoey. Me and mum don’t know what the pink flowers are but they are very pretty.
Maxwell: Um, “tall pink flower”?
Allie: Maxie! That is NO help at ALL.
I’m not good at flower name, but this pink flower sure is pretty!
And you are looking very pretty, Zoey 🙂
We don’t know and mum either. Sorry.
Oh Dears! Me was hoping somebody would knows what it is as it is a totally beauteous flower…Purrhaps it is the Zoey Flower?
Kisses
Nellie
I’m loving your picture, sweet Zoey….but I don’t know nuthin bowt the flower and neither does my Human. She knows less about plants than I do–I at least know some are tasty!
We’re sorry, we have no idea, but they look so lovely!
That flower is ALMOST as pretty as you are, Zoey! 🙂
Oh dear Zoey, you are looking very comfy-cosy, it’s good you are resting after that long weekend!
Nano Selcie is the gardening cat in our household- she tells me it’s pink kangaroo paw… And a google search confirmed it.
I know lots about flowers but this one doesn’t look familiar to me 🙁 I also spent all weekend gardening!
We don’t know about the tall pink flower zoey, but we know the big pink flower under your chin is called a rose… we think!
Mom has seen those and loves them but has no clue what they are!
Try looking at “cleome” images on Google, Mom thinks it is one of those varieties. And Zooey, I think you and I are a lot alike….we both prefer being the most special kitty in the house…does that sound about right?? I just caught a look at foster Leo this morning through a window and I let him know I was not purrleased…I let out lots of very loud howls and hisses…heh…heh
I’m glad that you may have found out indeed what that flower is. Mom has an APP called WildFlowers put out by the Audubon Society that helps her when she’s in the fields taking pictures.
Zoey, we would be happy to see your gorgeous floofiness everyday. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
