Hi everybuddy! Ernie here!!
This past weekend we had some exciting stuff
happening in our ‘hood!
First this big truck with machines showed up
along with some worker guys.
Turns out they came to cut down our neighbor’s big tree.
See it there?? Of course, I had to snoopervise the work!!
The worker guys made lots of noise!
You can tell from my ears that I was not liking all the noise very much!!
Wally slept through most of the commotion!
I think he was afraid to move because
he didn’t want to lose his spot on top the ladder!!
It didn’t take them long before the top half of that tree was gone!
Pretty soon only the tree trunk was left.
And then later even that was gone!!
Oh well…guess it’s one less tree for the birdies and the squirrels.

Awww – it’s always sad to see when a tree has to be cut down. Kind of fun to watch though, but sad that there is no more tree.
MOL..Wally is genius !!!! How he can nap ?..Amazing !!!!
About the tree, I hope they don’t cut it all, Paws crossed for that
xoxo
Our Mom hates it when they cute trees down but maybe it was sick tree. Ernie what a good job you did snooopervising. Wally, I see that one eye peeking at your Mom taking that picture. He was hopeful you weren’t going to make him move. Hope all of you have a great week.
We hope you made sure those men were working hard Ernie – we bet is was a change from birdie TV.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
It’s good you were snoopervising. No telling how many trees they would have cut down if you hadn’t been there. Have a good day.
pawhugs, Max
Bonjour Ernie!
Your window is so cool, lots of things going on outside!
Have a nice Monday, today here is Pentecost Monday!
Luna
Good thing you were there to snoopervise. Who knows what would’ve gone on without your input, Ernie.
I’m always a little sad when a tree has to be cut down.
You are a good snoopervisor, Ernie. Wally, not so much.
wow what excitement. reminds me of a sad day when i used to live in an apartment with the late great mr. max. i left one morning and when i got home his favorite tree was gone. i always picture him watching all the commotion and feeling bad about losing something so familiar…
That’s a lot of fun snoopervising, Ernie! We can’t believe that Wally didn’t want to watch!
We are always sad when a tree has to be cut down, but sometimes it must be done. We have a sick tree in our yard that will have to come down, but dad says it can wait until next year. Good job snoopervising Ernie!
Great snoopervising!! Mom says we would have all run around like chickens – though since we have never seen chickens run around, we are just going to have to take her word for it. MOL
WE hate to see trees taken down, but we know they must be from time to time.
Wow, you had a great view of all the action. We too are sad when trees have to come down, but we understand that sometimes it’s necessary.
You did a great job snoopervising and reporting Ernie! You may have more birds and squirrels in your yard now, until they find a new home…
Oh, we always hate it when trees get cut down, if they’re healthy, we mean. Poor birds have to relocate!
But you certainly had a bird’s eye view there, Ernie. (Bad pun, sorry!)
Wow! You had a lot of work to do that day didn’t you?
Hi Ernie…looks like you did a good job of snoopervising. Thats sad to see another tree gone.
You did a great job snoopervising. Wally did a good job of snoozing!
The Florida Furkids and Angel Sniffie
Maybe the birdies and squirrels will come to your window more now.
You did a pawesome job snoopervising the workers Ernie! Maybe having one less tree at your neighbors means more birdies and squirrels in your trees!
Wow, Ernie! You are brave! At least three of our kitties would have been under the bed if all that noise was happening near us (Angus, BJ and Owen). That’s because the dogs would have been barking off and on and they are the house alarm. Nick, like Wally would have slept through it, I’m sure.

Oh, it was exciting around your place. Looks like you both got in a good relaxing time afterward though. Bet that was fun watching them cut down the tree. Hope the birdies did not lose their home if there were some using the tree. Hugs and nose kisses
Wally had the best idea, sleep. What more can be better than sleep?
But you did a good job snoopervising; else we woudn’t know what’s happening in your hood right?
Shame about the tree. Still it looks lovely and green where u live with lots of trees and wildlife 🙂
Holy Cats! That’s enough excitement for a whole week. Maybe the birdies will move *even closer* to your yard!
Ernie that must have been very busy weekend with all of those loud noises, you were brave to stay by the window even though you made airplane ears. Now your neighborhood is safe from a damaged tree.
Ernie, you are a GREAT supervisor! Wally? Not so much.
How did Wally manage to sleep through all that commotion! We would have all been scowling at the workers and sending them bad vibes for making so much noise.
Well now you know what will probably happen next. Those birdies and squirrels will need to move house which will mean they will move somewhere closer to you! We have our paws crossed.Think of the hours of entertainment for your viewing pleasure 🙂
the critters in The Cottage
It’s a good job you were there to snoopervise. We don’t know how Wally managed to sleep through it though. Sometimes our dad saws up dead branches for the woodburner and we don’t like all the noise.
They sure did a job on that tree, at least you got to say goodbye!!!
So we’re wondering if Wally efur comes down off the ladder? 😀
Good work snoopervising, Ernie! We’re with efurryone else and hope the birds and squirrels will move closer to your big screen…er…window and yard 🙂
Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, and HOllie
Good job snoopervising, Ernie! We don’t know how you were able to stay there & stand the noise – it would’ve made us run for cover!! But, we hope ALL of the birdies & squirrels move closer to you!!
Thanks for visiting us on Simon’s special day!
~Nico, Simon & JayJay 🙂
We don’t have many trees ’cause our land was part of a farm, but because we don’t, a BIG air balloon landed in our back yard and the pilot gave my Dad a bottle of wine from Italy!!!! It happened the night before I came to live with the Boyz=^Y^=Thomas
Great snoopervising Ernie!!!
That looks like it might have been scary 😮
Amazing that Wally slept through it too 😮 heehee
Purrs Tillie and Georgia
We hopes the birdies had finished raising their babies.
xoxox
That was pretty exciting. You must be tired from all that watching. Good thing you guarded the estate so that tree chopper wouldn’t get inside.
Could have knocked down you sleep tower.
Slobbers,
Mango
Ernie you did an amazing job of giving us a “paw by paw” report!! You are an excellent snoopervisor!
Ernie
You sure had a great spot to watch all the hoopla.
Wow that was exciting!

Good snoopervising, Ernie. I think I might have done like Wally, though. That was pretty exciting stuff!
Dood, does that mean thats less birdy tv? Bummer …
Excellent snoopervising, Ernie! I wonder why they hadded to cut down that tree? Do you think a monster lived in it?
My Mama cries everytime she sees a tree cut down. oh welll…maybe now the birdies and squirrels will move to your trees, Ernie. purrr…meow!
poor tree! it looked like such a nice one, too. :/
i think that was pretty smart of Wally because had he moved you probably would have taken his spot. 😛
We sure like that window bed Wally is laying in. We want one like that. Maybe with that tree down, more squirrels and birds will come over to your house. Thank you for being so encouraging about our pictures yesterday. We hope you have a happy day 🙂
Wally must be serious about that spot on the ladder if he napped through a tree cutting!
It’s can of sad that they are cutting trees. Less birdies, less entertainment!
Maybe, you should plan trees in your yard, you do a great job at supervising!
We think Wally is getting in some beauty sleep, ready for his party.
Ernie, looks like you did a good job of snoopervising. If only you could have run over there and stopped them from cutting down the tree.
They’ve cut lots of branches from trees in our neighborhood this year (utility company said they were on the power lines), and I just hate that they have to do that.
Wally must have nerves of steel if he can sleep through that noise.
Boy Ernie, you sure had a front row seat to watch all the goings on. Oh well, you can see the pine tree a lot better. Maybe the birds will go in that tree instead of the one cut down. Looks like Wallie just slept through all the noise. Hope you had a great weekend.
Casper
MOL Ernie…boycats love trucks and machinery just like boyhumans!!
And your window seat provided the purrfect spot to see each and every detail.
Madi
Darn blogger! We can’t sees all the pictures! Only the last one!
I think I would freak out to see all that that you describe! I would have missed the excitement!
Good thing you were watching through the window, Ernie. Who knows what may have happened if you were sleeping too!
Good snoopervising! I hate big noisy trucks!
We hate seeing trees go. That means less place for the birdies to come and rest. I usually hide when big noisy trucks come.
Ernie – those guys did great work thanks to your snoopervising!
Great supervisorie job Ernie. You gots to see da whole show dint ya. You lucky. When dey come to cut our 10 trees what were growing into the power line I couldn see out the back door. It was so noisy wif da big grindy machine eatin up the tree chunk by chunk. Oh dey left lots of mess out dere. I know cause da Large one done got a big case of da you know whats and went out raking and pickin up limbs and all that and had to burn it all in 4 different fires all late at night when the wind was not blowin …… WHEW! Dat was a mouf full.
Anyways, I forgetted to tell you dem’s good piktures. An I likes da big pikture winder you gots to look out of. We onlies gots regular litty bitty ones, but we do has nest shelf beds in every one in da house, even da kitchen ….. well two gots airy conditioneres in them, but we sits on tops of da tings to cools our butts.
I gots to go. My Bean’s fingers are gettin tired takin dictation likes dis.
I gones …..
Too bad they had to take the tree away but you did excellent snoopervisation Ernie!
