Hey kitties! I think I’m in BIG trouble this time! I just might be getting that lump of coal in my stocking this Christmas. Y’see…I got caught climbing the Christmas tree…not once, but twice!! I just couldn’t resist!!
And y’know what?? I can’t even deny that it was me because there’s photographic evidence of my tree-climbing escapades!!
Yep, that’s me in the candycane collar!! I wouldn’t show my face but it’s still kinda hard to pin this on Wally or Zoey.
But srsly…who puts a tree up in a house and then puts shiny, dangly toys all over it and doesn’t expect me to touch it…let alone climb it?? Personally, I think it’s a case of entrapment!! I was being set up to fail!! So unfair!!
I think this being good stuff shouldn’t apply to us cats. Afterall, we’re cats…we should be able to do whatever we want whenever we want!! Dontcha agree with me, kitties??
So Santa Paws…if you’re listening…could you cut me a little slack…okay??

Purrsonally I think if you climbed the tree really good then that should count in the good category!

Ernie, we think climbing the tree was just purrfect. What else is a tree for except to climb and if the rents didn’t want you to climb it, they shoulda left it outside. And we all know for sure that those things hanging on the limbs are just toys for us. Why else would they be there.
So you do NOT get coal from Santa Paws. Maybe you should have tree of your very own. That picture of you under the tree is priceless. You are so cute. Take care and have a great day.
Ernie, we have it on good authority that Santa will not hold this against you. Gandalf and Grayson BOTH climb the Christmas tree! Whitey and Gracie have not had the opportunity as Momma does not have room for a tree at the Swamp.
Ernie, I’m pretty sure that Santa will not hold this against you. Figaro ate up his first ornament, and he’s so darn cute that mom didn’t even yell at him. Can you believe that? I think Santa expects kitties to be a bit naughty. It’s a part of being cats. Yeah, that’s right. In order to be a good cat you have to do stuff like climb trees and whap ornaments. I’m sure of it.

Dood, Santa totally gets it. In fact, I’m pretty sure he’s an advocate of tying the tree in place so that the kitties CAN climb it if they want. We don’t climb, we just bat the ornaments off. Right now, there are 3 or 4 missing, and I know where they are, but I’m not telling…
Ernie, Santa knows that Christmas trees are put in the house just for cats to climb and also to have toys all over it. Don’t worry, he’ll still bring you lots of presents!

I totally agree. But don’t worr,y Ernie, I destroyed the tree the first year I was with the family and I still got plenty of treats on Christmas Day.
If you did not topple the tree, break any toys or take any off, then it does not count
balls and baubles are toys. to decorate and just stare at them is silly. go, ernie!
